After the rough ride our family went through with my sisters illness,Confessor gave us the healing hand with his services.I strongly recommend this funeral home. Many thanks Confessor!!!!
This is the funeral home service you want to use. Having a loved one pass away is tough, but Confessor (aka Junior) and his team make the entire process easy. From the very first call, we were greeted with professionalism and courtesy. This was my first time handling any funeral arrangements, and while I hope it will be my last, at least Danbury Memorial Funeral Home made it effortless.
Confessor (Junior) and his team were wonderful all around. They were extremely responsive during the planning stage, which seemed to not be common practice amongst the funeral homes in the area. I live across the country and had to do the majority of the planning via email/phone. After speaking with over 14 homes, none of them impressed me the way that Junior and Amanda did. They were detailed and considerate, never pushing unneeded services or impatient with my questions. When Junior and Sean came to our home to retrieve our loved one, they were extremely respectful and never rushed us. They moved her with the upmost care and drove with caution. The wake and cremation went very smoothly and my family could not have asked for a better way to send off our beloved. If you or your family member are in need of funeral services, I highly recommend Danbury Memorial. They will take care of you during the sensitive transition of your loved ones.
When my oldest sister passed away unexpectedly, we decided to trust her final care to Danbury Memorial Funeral Home. We had attended other funerals there before and already knew what a great job they did. From the beginning to end, our experience with Junior (Confessor Rodriguez) was superb. He is the most compassionate human being, genuinely caring, honest, and very detail oriented. There was nothing overlooked, and their best attribute, in my opinion, is that they don't try to oversell, as we had experienced in the past with other funeral homes in the area. I recommend Danbury Memorial wholeheartedly, to anyone needing their services...Best of luck to these extremely caring individuals and thanks so much for turning a difficult situation into a calming and reassuring experience.
I had no idea where to even start in regards to planning a funeral for a loved one. The first phone call I made was to Danbury Memorial and Junior answered the phone. From the moment he answered the phone I knew this would be my first and last phone call. Junior and his staff were so understanding, sympathetic, and compassionate. I had so many questions and he helped me with every situation. Junior went above and beyond and I could just go on and on about how highly I recommend this establishment. The facility is beautiful and I felt surrounded by love and understanding the moment I entered. Thank you so Junior and his staff.
The only reason I gave Danbury Memorial Funeral 5 Stars, is because there was no option to give them more. I have dealt with Confessor Rodriguez 3 times now, each meeting a different need. He Pre-Planned a Cremation, and Service for my Aunt, handled the Cremation and Service for my Brother, and most recently handled the Burial and Service for my Father. For my Father he went above and beyond. We had a Military Service with the Playing of Taps, with Salute of Arms, and Presentation of the Flag to my Mother. He even brought a microphone and speaker to the cemetery so that everyone could hear the speaker clearly. All this and more, much more. The level of service was outstanding. The care and compassion with which he showed for me and my family was so needed at this difficult time. I simply can't thank him and his staff enough!
I had to take a few minutes to share the professionalism of this establishment. It made that big of an impression on not only myself, who was in charge of making arrangements, but also on everyone who attended the graveside funeral of our loved one. From the moment I called Confessor(Junior) and explained the circumstances (deceased was not a blood relative but a very good friend of ours but we were handling the funeral) I was immediately placed in the hands of his efficient team. Every phone call was answered along with every question. Paperwork and arrangements were all handled quickly. I had actually called around to check the prices on the same service I received at DMF&CS, however the prices of the others were DOUBLE and sometimes a little more than double. The efficiency this establishment runs at is AMAZING. The compassion, respect and genuine care Confessor and his team provide is what makes their services far and beyond above other funeral homes. Never once was our loved one's name misspelled or misspoken. Confessor and his team became familiar with us, the grieving family and the dynamics of the family and they truly catered to the family during such a difficult time. What an amazing gift they are, to families, at a time that is quite intimate and solemn. To Confessor and his team at DMF&CS, "Thank you, and God bless your work. I pray you continue to keep that genuiness of helping others and that your company reap all it deserves"
Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (Confessor Rodriquez, Jr.) was highly recommended to me when I was searching for a place to view my brother who was in hospice. From the first conversation I had with Confessor also known as Junior, I knew this was where I wanted my brother to be. Junior showed compassion and made us all feel special, but the thing that stood out to me the most was when he said, "you take care of your brother and I'll take care of everything else", and he did. The place is clean, done in good taste and comforting. I thank God for putting someone like him in our life at such a difficult time as this. We had the very excellent service at the best price in Danbury. Thank you Junior and staff.
From the first phone call until the day of my dad’s burial, Junior was caring, professional, respectful, and above all compassionate. He made such a very difficult time for us such a smooth and peaceful transaction. He treated us with kindness and respect like we were one of the family. When my aunt asked questions about What we needed to do to transport my father to the funeral home and things like the cemetery arrangements and all the charges and did we have to do anything special, his response was “you take care of your brother and l will take care of the rest. I don’t want you to worry about anything.” We knew at that moment that we were in good hands. Thank you for taking care of us and my dad as if we were one of your own. We so appreciate you and God that you were there for us during a very difficult season of our lives. On a side note, your facility Is Modern, beautiful and clean and your costs were beyond reasonable, no hidden fees. Once again, thank you for everything. God bless you and your family and your business, may he continue to prosper you above and beyond anything you could ever ask for.
My youngest daughter passed away suddenly at the age of 44. Her two daughters and I were in such shock it was overwhelming. I immediately called Junior because I had gone to him five years ago when my brother passed away and he was wonderful then and I knew he would take care of my daughter in the same way he did my brother. He takes such care of helping the family through the toughest decisions they have to make when a family member passes away. I’m so glad he opened Danbury Memorial to help and guide families in their time of need. God Bless him.
Considering the circumstances with COVID-19 the service we received for our loved one was honorable and respectful. we thank you all for the service, and for the opportunity to grieve, and honor his wishes. there could never be enough words, Thank you
When my mother-in-law passed away last month we immediately reached out to Confessor Rodriguez (aka Junior). Junior had done an amazing job when my father passed some years ago and we had heard he had opened Danbury Memorial. From the moment we walked in to make arrangements my wife and I felt comforted and comfortable. The arrangements were easy without the maudlin nature of some funeral homes. At no point did we feel a "hard sell." In fact, if anything, Junior gave us options to reduce costs if we so wished. The communication was just enough, without being overwhelming. When I brought a flash drive with some photos I brought my daughter (who had never been to a funeral before) and he made her feel at ease. Inside, the rooms are bright and modern, fitting for a life celebration. When we arrived the day of the celebration, he and his staff were beyond efficient, with staff in parking lot to direct parking, people opening doors and generally making people feel welcome and at ease. Once in the room we saw water bottles on all chairs and a lovely tapestry with a spot-on likeness of my mother-in-law based off a photo we provided. In short, I cannot recommend Junior and Danbury Memorial highly enough. They turned a difficult time into a bearable one and cannot thank them enough for that.
Having my mother pass was, as anyone who has gone through it, one of the most difficult things I have ever had to deal with. She lived close by, we spoke every day and although she was 88 we would go out to the store or for a ride. I knew Junior had opened Danbury Memorial and didn’t think twice about where I wanted her to go. When we showed up to make arrangements he let us know she was there and asked if we wanted to see her, which we did and she was comfortably blanketed and looking peaceful. While difficult, it made things easier for me. Throughout the arrangements and service I felt nothing but calm, peacefulness and a feeling that this was right, helping ease my sadness. To Junior and the staff at Danbury Memorial, thank you so much for helping our family get through this difficult time. Your kindness and going above and beyond will always be remembered.
I can't begin to thank Junior and Bethany enough for their kindness and compassion through the most difficult time of my life. I lost my beloved mom, very suddenly and didn't know where to even begin to plan her cremation. Bethany walked me through every step, literally holding my hand along the way. She is so sweet and understanding and Junior was so friendly and professional. They helped me more than they will ever know. I would highly recommend them for your funeral or cremation needs.
I echo all of the extremely positive reviews Danbury Memorial has received. When my father passed away at home and hospice contacted them, Bethany and Amanda were there in a timely manner -- and, from that moment forward, my family and I were treated with nothing but genuine compassion and respect. Every member of their team brings a sense of humanity to their interactions with people like us who are going through an exceptionally difficult experience. My mother, in particular, can't say enough about how much comfort she has taken from how she has been treated. Our sincere thanks to you all...
As sad as it was, the death of my Mother and her life partner on the same day. The good people, Bethany, Amanda and Junior comforted us, and made the process as pain free as possible. They are kind and professional, courteous and extremely helpful. They took care of things we never thought about, which must be done when we lose family members. They are the best. I have the highest regard for Danbury Memorial, the staff, incredible at what they do. Thank you so much for taking great care of my entire family through this difficult time in our lives, the ones who must carry on. You helped us beyond anything we expected. I am blessed to have chosen Danbury Memorial, I chose wisely. Thank you.
We would like to thank Danbury Memorial Funeral and Cremation services for all their support and help during the difficult time of the death of my sister, Norma Smigowski in September 2019. The level of professional expertise of the people working at Danbury Memorial was outstanding. I would like to thank Junior and his staff for their help and support in this very difficult time. The process was professionally explained to me. The following people deserve special recognition and Junior and Bethany were wonderful in all phases of the process. I would highly recommend this organization to anyone who needs this type of special care. Attention to detail was outstanding. Sincerely, John Montesi
If I could give more than 5 stars I would....I can not say enough of the professionalism and sincerity given to me both via phone and in person when speaking with Junior. He went above and beyond for our family through our difficult time without hesitation (as well as having to deal with his own personal situation). As we did not have much interaction with his staff, it shows that he not only cares for his clients but his staff as well. My mother passed during the labor day weekend but Junior met with us on Sunday as well as provided us with a special service request from my father on Monday. He handled everything himself during this time and I have to say it was greatly appreciated. He put my father at ease and that was such a great comfort to me. I normally do not give reviews but in this case I felt the need to share my experience to let others know that during your time of sorrow, you will feel the compassion given by Junior and his staff at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home. Junior, I can not stress enough how much comfort you gave to me and my family during one of our saddest moments in life. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!
Junior, you could not have done a better job with my father-in-law’s memorial service. From the moment we walked in your professional, but soothing manner put us at ease during an incredibly stressful time. You listened closely to our wants and needs and helped us create a memorial that honored our loved one. You responded to my numerous questions late at night and early in the morning, making sure that any concerns were alleviated. You made us feel special and cared for while attending to details we didn’t even consider. I can't thank you enough.
Almost everything about the death of a family member is difficult. Junior and his team of professionals here made this part easy. They were patient, understanding, kind, compassionate, and flexible. Their prices are not extreme and they have a wide variety of options, plus experience in helping someone who has no idea what to do in this kind of situation. I absolutely recommend choosing this team to guide you through this, you will not regret it.
Junior and his team are compassionate, thoughtful and accommodating. They are calm, communicative, and caring. I never thought I would write a review about a funeral service, but I can not recommend them highly enough or adequately express my thanks for their support.
It was a very difficult time when my uncle, Louis Russo, passed away. Bethany was extremely helpful, guiding our family through the process. The result was the funeral, coordinated by Bethany with the VA, turned out to be exactly what my uncle and our family wanted. We can't thank Bethany enough!
I want to express my appreciation to all the wonderful people at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home. They are a new and refreshing choice for the saddest times in a family. Junior and his staff are professional, compassionate and go the extra mile to make a hard time easier. Their facility is new with pleasing, updated decor and their facility is dedicated to one family at a time. So, Cudos to you, Junior and staff. I hope to not need these services again for a while, but when I do, I will turn to you. Claudia D. Smith
Junior, your kind and caring heart will never be forgotten,my brother was so loved and bigger than life, you made sure his presence was felt, his humour was his greatest gift to the world and his sendoff was spot on,many thanks to you and all of the staff for making the hardest time in my life comfortable,so happy I thought of your place first and Wilbur must have been part of that as he put up your sign with cowboy at the sign guy,his great friend! He will be so missed but I will smile at the love in that room from so many including all of you!Thank you for everything! CARLA
I would like to thank junior from the bottom of my heart for the wonderful experience upon burying my husband. He is such a warm compassionate person and really gives himself to the individuals who are suffering such a tremendous loss. He was there for my entire family not just myself. I have friends and family that are still talking about how exceptional the Danbury Memorial facility is. They have a superior quality that you simply can’t find elsewhere. Junior and his staff are a blessing and a pleasure to work with. In such a difficult time he makes you feel that you’ll be ok and he really does take care of everything. From his exceptional skill on my husband to all of the small details such as arrangement of the room. We had been expecting a large crowd of people to come pay their respects to my husband and Junior, his wife and the staff handled things very professionally. It is amazing how well this man is at his job. He was very sincere and comforting the entire time. I can’t say enough about how beautiful it is that he has such a warm and inviting place for families to say good bye to their loved ones. I highly 110 percent recommend everyone to experience such quality professionalism that you can only find at Danbury Memorial and is simply because that’s where you will find Junior. Thank you Confessor🙏
When our father passed, we wanted to find a place to really honor him. That’s what we received from Junior and his team. They did an amazing job. We visited a few other homes but came back to him. If you’re searching for the right place to take your loved one, you’ve found the place. They have the largest viewing room in the city of Danbury, which was important for us. Junior was amazing with the work he did on our father. He took a man who went through multiple rounds of chemo and radiation to the head, and made him look like he was peacefully resting. It was amazing. The treatment we received and service left us with no regrets or complaints. His prices were far better than others and he made sure we understood where it was worth saving money and where value could be found. You won’t regret choosing this home. You’ll have EVERYTHING taken care of and nothing to worry about. Thank you Junior. I couldn’t imagine getting through this without you. I’m glad we took the advice of my colleagues in the legal community. Many people recommended you.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to Confessor Rodrigues Jr. at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home. You made a difficult time for our family with the loss of our son easier to get through. Your care and compassion along with your professionalism was greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten. You and your staff are truly the best. We highly recommend Danbury Memorial Funeral home and Cremation Services to anyone in need. Sincerely, The Scozzafava Family
I am so pleased that a friend suggested that I contact Junior at Danbury Memorial. When I sat down with him, he immediately put me at ease by assuring me that he runs the business the way that he thinks a funeral home and cremation service *should* be operated. He did not push me to add any services that I did want, merely making me know that they were available. When I spoke with Bethany by phone or in person, she was always empathetic and professional. In the case of my wife Patricia's passing something happened which further proved both of them to be completely trustworthy. I wholeheartedly recommend Danbury Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services. They are NOT the "old, family business that has done things this way for the past X tens of years". Their facility is bright with lots of natural light and would be a perfect place to hold a Celebration Of Life if you choose to. Thumbs-up!
Our heartfelt thanks to Junior and his wonderful team, especially Bethany, who we thought was very angelic, making the most difficult time of our life, putting our beloved mom to rest and bidding her -Good bye ,very -Stress free.🙏 Every member of the team was very humble, polite and approachable, understanding too well what the family was going through already and walking us through the whole process with atmost grace and respect 🙏 Thanks to Junior and his amazing team, so blessed to have your team serving our community.🙏 Santosh ,Mini and family
Our family will be forever grateful to Confessor (Junior) Rodriguez for his calm, warm and caring interactions with us when handling my son's death. Junior went above and beyond to provide us the opportunity to say goodbye to our son with the utmost compassion. It made all the difference during an extremely difficult time. We feel so fortunate to have been connected to you and to have you available in our community.
Junior and his staff made making funeral arrangements for our mom so effortless. He is honest, forthright, and presents all options. His kindness and understanding helped us make all those difficult decisions so much easier. He manages to combine professionalism with a warm, caring way about him. I can’t say enough good things about Danbury Memorial Funeral Home. My mom looked beautiful, and I know mom would have loved the elegant, dignified way the entire funeral from beginning to end was handled. Attention to detail, the beautiful photo tapestry which was totally unexpected and the true kindness of all Junior’s staff, helped our family through a very difficult time. Thank-You Junior! You are an asset to the community.
I want to say that i had an awesome experience with everyone that i came into contact with. They were very professional and caring and loving all at the same time. This place is a place that is warm and inviting. There are not enough thank you’s that could be said. They truly are in the job to help people and it is truly evident how they do what they do. This place is a great place. I will always continue to use and continue to tell people about this place. They were great.
Junior was a absolute pleasure to work with at the most difficult time he made is stress free! On behalf of myself and my family we would highly recommend him and his staff. Thank you again. Eileen Centuori
Thank you very much for being an awesome funeral director! Your knowledge and expertise helped make the process feel not so overwhelming. I want to thank you for all the time you spent with me during this difficult time in my life. Explaining each step helped me make decisions and feel in control of a very hard situation.
We just had my mothers funeral at Danbury Memorial. From beginning to end, the owner made sure that absolutely everything was just the way we wanted it. A very professional operation paying a lot of attention to detail. The owner, Confessor, was the one who made up my mom. I can't even describe how good of a job he did on her. Our whole family was extremely pleased. Be prepared to be treated like part of his family, which is something you just don't get from other funeral homes. It was nice feeling at this tough time. The facility was clean and well kept. They took care of the video slideshow - All I had to do was give them pictures. I would highly recommend visiting this establishment if you are comparing for prices as theirs was very competitive - but if you want to walk away with a feeling of complete satisfaction, then you owe it to yourself to visit their facility and speak with them. A truly satisfying experience.
When my Mother in law Millie passed away, I remembered a beautiful service I had attended at Danbury Memorial a few years earlier and how wonderful Junior had assisted my family when my Dad passed in 2017 and thought they would be the right choice for us during this sad and difficult time. Bethany was wonderful and compassionate as she guided us through the process of making decisions for the service. She listened to us as we told her about Mother and put together a lovely tribute video. Junior was present for the service and ensured that everything went well, putting us at ease from start to finish on what was an emotionally difficult day. When we entered the room there was a beautiful throw with Mother's image that stopped me in my tracks. When I asked where it came from, Junior replied "We did that for you". Such a wonderful personal touch. Everyone at Danbury Memorial was attentive and considerate throughout. I had a number of people that attended that day comment on how impressed they were with everything and everyone. I will definitely recommend them to others in need of their services. Thank you Junior, Bethany and entire staff at Danbury Memorial.
Dear Junior and Bethany
I wanted to thank you so very much for all your help and support in planning my father's memorial. You went above and beyond to make it special.
I cannot say enough good things about Danbury Memorial Funeral Home. Junior and his staff were so patient and caring through the entire process. They really went the extra mile to make sure everything was just perfect for my father's celebration of life memorial. Everyone that attended felt at ease and comfortable. Their attention to detail was truly heartfelt. The rooms and décor are soothing and peaceful. Thank you Junior for making an incredibly difficult time as seamless and stress free as possible. Dawn, Art & Pam
Dear Junior and Bethany ,Our family is so pleased we chose Danbury Memorial for mom's service. You were both so supportive and attentive with every detail and made the process go smoothly. We wish you continued success with your business.
We just lost our 25-year-old son. It was very devastating time to us. We didn't know how to deal with day to day tasks yet alone how to deal with funeral and everything that goes with it. On top of it all we had to bring our son all the way from Florida. Luckily, we found Junior. He guided us through all of the steps tactfully and skillfully. Everything was done timely, professionally, efficiently, with deep compassion and kindness. Not one detail escaped him. We had fairly large crowd of people during services and almost everyone commented about amazing arrangement and attention to detail. Not one aspect could have been done better. I recommend Junior with absolute conviction that he will live up to your expectation and still will find ways to surpass it.
Like many families who find themselves facing a sudden loss, we started the memorial process by screening multiple funeral parlors in the area, until we reached Confessor (Junior) at Danbury Memorial. Confessor was compassionate, which made him stand out from the rest. From the first time we spoke to the last meeting we held after all the services were over Junior proved to be genuinely empathetic and exceptionally patient with all our requests. Junior and his staff are highly professional and we were comforted in knowing our mother would be attended to with the utmost respect. We highly recommended Danbury Memorial to friends and relatives who may be going through the loss of a loved one. Junior will walk and guide you through every step of the process. Junior, this is truly your calling and our community is blessed to have you service our families. THANK YOU for your kindness, understanding, and for going above and beyond our expectations.
Sincerely, The Rosa Family
Dear Junior, Thanks so very much for your generous support, help and guidance through this emotional period. My sister Pam and I found your assistance and guidance at the passing of our beloved mother to be exceptional. You and your staff were blessing to us. Thanks again Pat and Pam
I cannot say enough good things about Junior and his staff! They go above and beyond what you expect. It is always a difficult time, and they were lovely. I would recommend Junior and his Business to anyone!
This review is long overdue but needed. My aunt passed away a year ago and to this day, I still think about her beautiful funeral held here. Jr was the most patient person, having to deal with my giant family and our request. For about a week straight, I was in constant contact with Jr, changing this and that, and he never complained once. The funeral home itself is great. It's clean and doesn't feel like death. Other funeral homes in the area look weathered and worn down. The best part about the funeral home is that it holds one service at that time. This means that you're not having to share the space with other grieving families. The service was beautiful and tailored to our Buddhist rituals. Before my aunt was cremated, we were able to lay flowers around her casket. It looked more like she was sleeping in a bed of flowers and it was a beautiful way to send her off. I can't say enough good things about this funeral home and the service speaks for itself.
JR and his staff are the most loving, kind and professional people I have been lucky to know. JR helped me go through one of the most difficult things I had to do. They're kind and loving people. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs theses services . Top notch. If I could they would get 10 gold stars 🌟x10 Thank you for all you do. Cynthia Granata
Dear Junior & Associates, You will always be remembered for your kind understanding, support and comfort. With heartfelt appreciation, Lee & Denni
Wanted to express our sincere thanks to you and your staff...all the emotions and space outs you go thru when losing a loved one makes it hard to get thru the day; let alone plan their services....thank you for making that so much easier on us and showing us love and compassion. We are forever grateful..
The death of a friend is very difficult. Our prayers were answered when we met Jr. and Bethany. Their compassion and care, loving spirit and professional manner helped to turn our time of sorrow into a celebration of the life of someone who was loved by so many. It is difficult to find the words to thank them but we are certain that when other families require these services, they will find the same comfort which we experienced.
I was looking to have my aunt cremated without a wake and didn't know where to start. I was put at ease as soon as I started talking to Junior. He guided me through the entire process and helped me to take care of my aunt arrangements. I would recommend Danbury Memorial for a professional and courteous experience. Junior was kind, thoughtful, and a pleasure to work during this difficult time.
Our most heartfelt thanks to Junior (Confessor) and his staff for their care, attention to detail, kindness and professionalism in a difficult time. We are so impressed with the service we have received.
To Junior and staff - From the bottom of our hearts ,thank you for being so kind, understanding and accommodating during this very difficult time for our family.and also allowing us to put trust in you . Thank you so much. Very truly your Karen and Kyle Dunleavy
Dear Junior, We want to thank you for all your support and kindness you provided us during our difficult days. We appreciated the calming atmosphere and decor. Your professionalism and empathy will always be remembered. With many thanks, Nancy & Family
When a family loses a loved one it is difficult to embrace, even more when you are not prepared to lay them to rest. Then we cross paths with people we barley know that show care, empathy and love for a family they did not know. We cannot express enough gratitude for you and your staff fro the compassion you showed our family during a difficult time. From the moment we entered your establishment we felt peace and knew our loved one was in good hands.Thank you seems inadequate for all that you did.You will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Junior gave me comfort the moment I spoke with him, Going through all these crazy emotions feeling all kinds of ways after my mother passed away, other funeral homes going right for getting paid! Junior gave me hope and time. He opened his arms and his business to us and gave us a day for mom that was beautiful and special! I never imagined they would make this day as beautiful as it was. I'm so grateful for there services in celebrating my mothers life! I wouldn't have it any other way! Danbury Memorial and Cremations is amazing! Thank you Junior and staff! Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts..... The Malave / Mish Family
Junior was excellent! He has a very friendly energy and helped us with every question and step of the way. He never tried to sell us anything extra and the facility is beautiful. Prices were great! Highly reccomend Danbury Memorial!
Jr. was very easy to work with, he is knowledgable, kind and understanding. He made planning for my mother comfortable and easy. His facility is new and beautiful, and all on one level! He is very responsive to any questions, and sees that everything get done in a timely manner. I would recommend Danbury Memorial without reservation. Thank you for making the process dignified and smooth. Carl D Johnson
Confessor (Junior) Rodriquez and staff, Our family would like to express our sincere appreciation for your service and professionalism during such a difficult time. My mom was a very unique women known and loved by many in the Danbury community. In our family she represented a sense of love, strength, and courage. Throughout her battle with cancer and particularly through her final days—her love emanated to open hearts spaces through mending relationships and creating and restoring family bonds. Thus, it was our goal to have a memorial service that was not typical but rather unique—representing who she was as a person. We knew this would involve finding a funeral director that was a team player, who would listen and provide suggestions to make the vision come true. Prior to speaking with Junior, we consulted with two other funeral homes. Upon meeting Junior, we knew instantly we wanted to work with him. Not only was the facility calming and inviting, he was personable, compassionate, and most importantly, interested in finding out more about my mother. Prior to the service, he was very engaged—answering emails promptly, contacting necessary parties, and inquiring about our family and our dynamics. He even went above and beyond what was expected of him by seizing an opportunity to create a private space for my eight year old niece to say her final good-bye to her Nana. This act, I believe, made a potentially traumatic experience for an 8 year old comforting and calming. Junior asked and answered all her questions in a kid-friendly way with sincerity. The day of the service the atmosphere was filled with love. Junior and his staff were attentive and anticipated the needs of our family very well. The whole process was stress-free, efficient, affordable, and he did not compromise quality. Overall Junior and his staff’s services were unmatched. Thanks again for everything and for being part of this process. Stayed blessed and wishing you much success in the future.
When faced with tragedy, it is hard to find one’s bearings; Confessor put me at ease with his understanding manner, knowledge and professionalism. He outlined the necessary steps with sensitivity and kindness. Confessor took me from a state of anxiety to a comfortable feeling that I was in good hands. Confessor and his colleagues went above and beyond my expectations and I highly recommend them.
Dear Junior, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the fabulous service you & your staff had provided to me & my family in a very trying time. From the street, we literally knocked on your door and the rest speaks for itself. We had made no phone calls or an appointment before we knocked on the door. You took us under your wing and provided the best for my mom & the family. Please thank Bethany, Tony and the rest of your staff. your words were very soothing and welcoming, and you know your facility will be highly recommended by my family.
Confessor, Bethany, and Staff... Your patience during this tough time was greatly appreciated. Your insight and willingness to meet our requests and budget was great. Your willingness to accommodate our quirky requests was wonderful. Thank you for allowing us to give proper tribute to our Mom, she deserved it.
Thank you so much for all the support & comfort you extended to my family & myself. You took time to go over the process for the burial of my mother Pearline McLeod. You and your staff were truly amazing, your patience was welcomed and I truly thank you for that. May god continue to bless you in all that you do.
I want to thank Junior and his team for taking care of our Mom. We over the years dealt with another funeral home in Danbury. Our experience there was no longer a positve one. We met with Junior on January 13, 2017, just prior to her passing. Junior was the most compassionet person I have ever met at a time of deep hurt for our family. Junior helped us from the first second we met, all the way through thisprocess. Junior stated "she had beautiful skin", Junior in doing what he does had my mom looking beautiful as she was. I cannot state our families gratitude for his service, and the celebration of my moms life. Remember when you are going through this time of your life, you want to know that they will take care of your loved one, and my GOD Danbury Memorial did just that and ten times more. My best to this group of professionals, who actual care about the individual who passed and their family and friends. Remember this is a Celebration of that persons life, we all have our sorrow and broker hearts, but JUnior just seems to make this process so fulfilling.
Junior (Confessor) is a kind and professional person. Being unaware of what the process and all that it entails with regard to the burial of my mother, he made the process a seamless one. He is a genuine person who really cares about the process of burying a loved one. HIs place makes you feel welcome, and he is a very compassionate person. I would like to thank him and his staff for making a difficult time a little easier for my family and myself.
I'm sending a special thank you to Confessor Rodriguez Jr for making this process as smooth and easy as possible during my time of Sorrow. Years ago I made arrangements for two loved ones who passed so I've been through this before. You are by far the most sincere and kind funeral director I could ever hope to meet. Losing someone you love is never easy and having to deal with funeral arrangements only makes it that much harder. Thank god for Junior and his entire staff. They handled the majority of all things that needed to be taken care of for my brothers service and made it so much easier for my family to grieve and be able to say propper goodbyes. They were so professional and kind and helpful. Their facility was above the standards of any ive ever attended and the job they did presenting my brother was impeccable which made it so much easier for me to see him and say my goodbyes. And all of this for such an amazing price. Thank you Junior to you and your entire staff. I will certainly reccomend you anybody i know in need of similar services.
My younger brother recently passed away very unexpectedly. My family and I had no idea how to handle the grief and the arrangements for his services simultaneously. Fortunately, in searching for a funeral home that would meet our needs and be somewhere my brother would have chosen for himself, I came across the Danbury Memorial Funeral Home website. From the time I first spoke to Junior, I knew this was the place I would recommend to my family. Junior was extremely caring, professional and readily available to meet with my family the very same day. The funeral home was like a breath of fresh air after recalling other homes I'd been to in the past. It was very bright and welcoming and catered to one service at a time, which offered us a more intimate setting to mourn for our loss and meant that my brother would get the special attention he deserved. Junior and his staff assisted my family with taking care of every detail, from ordering beautiful floral arrangements to organizing my brothers' church service. This made the whole process much easier on our family. We would like to thank Junior and his entire staff for their kindness and compassion during such a difficult time and for operating such an upstanding business in this community. Sincerely~
Five stars to Junior & staff for their professional, smooth, courteous and sincere cremation service for my mom. It was a flawless experience for us. The facility has pleasant & calm feel and the price was very reasonable. Thank you again. Highly recommended.
Dear Confessor and Staff, On behalf of my entire family I want to thank you for your kindness and concern during the entire process of my husbands funeral.Your professional care and personal attention during this time of great loss was a gift to me. Every detail was taken care and much more. I wish you all the best to you and your great staff.
Sincerely Helen Porcaro
We appreciated Jr and Bethany's comforting and professional style throughout our very difficult time. Their attention to detail was most appreciated during the funeral of our mother.
Would really like to thank Jr and Bethany for their outstanding kindness and professionalism in handling services for my father, their sensitivity and caring went beyond my expectations. My father had a very big wake, about 300 viewers, and Danbury memorial was prepared to the fullest and having enough staff on board. Thank you to Ted, Tony, Jeff and John for your hard work and dedication. I truly recommend Danbury Memorial for your future funeral experience. From your first phone call till the very end you're filled with sympathy and comfort. Thank you Jr and staff
At this most painful time, it was a pleasure to work with Confessor and his team. From the moment we arrived we were treated like family. The facility is beautiful, bright and clean. The cost is very fair and they are organized and efficient in dealing with the these matters. I am truly grateful for the care they showed my deceased loved one as well as the gentle and calm manner they used to help my mother navigate this challenging time.
Thank you Mr. Rodriguez for all the help you gave me during my sister passing. You were extremely helpful, caring and attentive during one of the toughest moments of my life. Thank you again!
Junior and Bethany were incredibly sensitive, caring and comforting at a time that was extremely difficult for me. They bent over backwards to ensure that every simple detail of my husband’s final wishes were carried out. And they never ran out of hugs when I needed one. Thank you again for being a part of this next stage of Don's journey.
Junior was incredible. His warmth and compassion made a challenging component to the death process simple and easy. His attention to detail and caring shows in his work. Our sister-in-law was honored in the perfect way thanks to Junior and his team!!!
Thank you for your beautiful and thoughtful execution of our Mother's services. We were grateful for your compassion and professionalism. Junior, we were right to trust Danbury Memorial Cremation Services to assist us during a very difficult time.
I first contacted Danbury Memorial & Cremation for the first time in the middle of January 2016. My husband was under Hospice Care, and was advised to start planning the arrangements for when he passed. I knew that he would be cremated as those were his wishes. I will add that I had made several calls before calling Danbury Memorial & Cremation which was by a recommendation. From the moment that I spoke to whom I know now is Junior, I knew this would be the person that will be handling my husbands services. Fast forward to this past Saturday 2/13/16 which I had to make the final arrangements for my husband as his health declined drastically. I went to the location on South St, made a phone call, within less than 2 minutes I received a call back from Junior informed him that I was at his location and needed to make my final arrangements. He gave me a time that he would be at his location and I must say that he was right on time very punctual. From the moment that we walked in to his location you can feel the warmth, the caring and compassion that Junior showed toward my situation. He walked us thru everything that would happen from start to finish, step by step.... He is very patient, calm, professional, pleasant young man.... knew exactly what he was talking about and answered all my questions. He is a very meticulous with his work which is a huge plus as I had put my trust in him as my husband was transitioning and going home to be with the Lord. He has done an excellent job in everything that he did for my husband, I am more than pleased with Junior. He is proud of what he does which is very important. He is highly recommended his services to anyone, you will not be disappointed with him or his staff. Our Good Lord Jesus Christ Has Put Junior In Danbury For A Reason........ May God Continue To Bless Him And His Business......Always....
Everything you and the Danbury Life Celebration Facility have to offer is First Class. You were so sensitive and respectful from my first call to you, to arranging for my husband's cremation and Memorial Service, to this awesome website where I come often to view condolences and all the pictures you've put up. You gave me a lot of options and ideas, made sure I didn't forget anything, and were discretely present at the service. The valet parking cut down on possibilities for confusion, as did your area for the kids. I wholeheartedly recommend you for anyone planning for or going through a loss.
Confessor, we cannot find the words to say how thankful we are. You have been a man of God, you showed our family nothing but patience, sympathy and kindness .You went above and beyond what we could have ever imagined. We felt very comforted and at home with you. May God continue to bless you, and may your funeral home continue to flourish. God bless you.
I want to take this time to say that Danbury Funeral Home is the place to have a service for a loved one. Confessor and his staff were so welcoming so loving and caring and made sure that they met our needs.
Amazing Service! Beautiful location with parking, very clean and up to date, also Manager and workers are excellent. They did a video for our cousin Jessica Romero and we are so happy with it. Everything was absolutely perfect. AL
My sister passed away in another state and getting her body to be cremated there was such a terrible experience. So I was hoping that her memorial service at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home with Confessor would be a better one. And it was. Confessor was such a good listener and provided the service we were hoping for. I definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a caring staff. They were so accommodating to my family and friends. The place is also very well decorated.
Dear Confessor, My family and I truly appreciate your attention during this most difficult time. The service for my wife, Nancy Godizzaro, was exquisite; such attention to detail and thought. The personal attention you put into her memorial video will never be forgotten. One of the most precious possessions for me now is the tapestry you gave to the family to honor Nancy. Both Nancy’s sons found comfort in the simple extra touches that your funeral home provided us. Sincerely, Ronald Godizzaro & Sons
With the death of my brother I wasn't sure exactly how to handle his funeral. My daughter had read the many reviews of Danbury Memorial and suggested I contact them, which I did. Speaking to Junior I immediately knew this was the place for my brothers final farewell. He is so warm, comforting and professional that it took the stress and anxiety away from me. His memorial was a true celebration of life, and I can't thank Junior enough for everything he did to lighten my burden.
We cannot say enough about the quality of care and compassion we received from Danbury Memorial. They walked us through everything and made the whole process so easy for our family. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a funeral home that truly cares about you and your loved one.
We just lost my husband. The father of my children. A mother lost her son, a sister and brother lost their brother. I just sat reading the comments before mine, and everyone mimics exactly how I feel. Confessor, is a consummate professional and epitomizes "Gentleman" (he is a kind, caring "gentle" man). Nothing is as hard as saying goodbye to a loved one, but having Confessor taking care of every detail with such love and kindness is a rare gift. He truly cares about the family that is grieving. He does not push you to do or purchase things. He just truly cares about you and your family. We had a lot of people coming, and his staff handled the parking with ease.
My Grandma declined suddenly and was gone within 4 days. With little time to prepare emotionally or otherwise, my Mom was exhausted and stressed. Knowing she had to make final arrangements, she made a plan to call--except when Grandma passed away at 1am, it suddenly became an urgent matter. Danbury Memorial was recommended and Confessor responded immediately, in the middle of the night. He promised that he would help ease the burden, and that turned out to be an understatement. He arrived promptly to manage the situation but also offered private time with Grandma before stepping in. He was professional, calming, and genuinely caring. Mom was surprised and relieved that he asked for nothing that night. He only offered his help, encouraged her to rest easy, and suggested meeting in the morning wherever was most convenient for Mom--which turned out to be her house--to discuss the next steps. It was as if she had called on a close friend; he took care of everything and put Mom at ease. Confessor is not new to the business, but his vision is refreshing: he treats your family as his own. He listens to understand what it is that you want to honor your lost loved one--as simple as that may be, or as different from the usual rituals. He is at all times aware of the individuality of every person's life, as well as the fact that a difficult situation is experienced and handled differently by everyone. His interactions are so personalized that you forget he does this all the time. His experience is welcomed, though, as he explains everything and makes sure all goes seamlessly. After just one conversation, Confessor choreographed every detail and left nothing to worry about and nothing to question. Grandma wanted to be cremated without much ado, but her departure was still handled in a dignified and respectful manner every step of the way. Confessor and his sister were both supportive and comforting while providing a service made remarkably less distressing considering the circumstances. They went above and beyond to honor Grandma and to meet Mom's needs, and we are thankful for the gift of their guidance through this experience.
My friend of 40 + years, Nancy Grimes, has just entrusted her mother to your hands for her final rest. I am writing to thank you for the wonderful service you have provided to my friend and her family. Knowing her as I have, you have done a remarkable piece of work. She is known for her high standards, both for herself and others. You have met them, and at this most important moment in life. This has been a great gift to her and I thank you.
My primary goal in writing this review is to let others know there are options for funerals other than the structured layouts offered in our area. Confessor Rodriguez, Jr. and the Danbury Memorial and Cremation Funeral Home assisted us this past week in paying tribute to and burying my 82-year-old mother Audrey J. Standt, the matriarch of her family. I never imagined I could see my mother one more time looking as beautiful as she had ever looked, with the family together in an intimate setting of this wonderful Funeral Home. This was an unexpected gift during a difficult time that Confessor and his Sister Nelly were able to provide to us. Their services offer a unique opportunity to people dealing with a death in the family. From start to finish, I felt comforted that he genuinely cared for us and worked to fulfill both ours and my mother’s wishes. He took responsibility of his charge, my mother, in her final resting as I truly believe he would have his own family member. He went above and beyond all expectations we had for this event. Although a relatively new business, Danbury Memorial and Cremation Funeral Home fulfills a real need in the community for personalized services in laying to rest those we love. Confessor Rodriguez himself has been caring for bereaved families in the Danbury community for more than twenty years. I whole-heartedly recommend Danbury Memorial and Cremation Funeral Home to close friends, family and colleagues. Death is never easy. However, every death and celebration of life is unique. Confessor, his sister and the Danbury Memorial and Cremation Funeral Home takes this fact to heart and facilitates a comforting way to mourn intimately, and in a way that special for your family.
With heartfelt thanks and deep appreciation, Nancy Standt Grimes
Dealing with the death of a loved one is a very emotional and stressful event. Confessor and his team took care of the stressful part and tremendously helped with the emotional as well. He is a very professional individual that guided us through this tough process with sympathy and understanding. He went above and beyond what I would have expected and then some. All our questions were answered and all of our requests were fulfilled. Approximately 800 people attended our brother’s funeral and thanks to the effort and teamwork of everyone at Danbury Memorial, it went very smoothly. For these reasons and many more, I would definitely recommend Confessor and Danbury Memorial & Cremation Funeral Home.
my family wanted to express our sincerest gratitude. Confessor really went out of his way to make sure we were happy and that the services went well. Your empathy and compassion made this situation easier on the family. Thank you!

My uncle passed away four weeks ago. He was found in his apartment and the police sent his body to the state medical examiner's office in Farmington. My family is from Bridgeport and I am so glad that I chose Danbury Memorial and Junior to help me. I cannot express enough from the first call to Junior and all subsequent calls to him he was extremely kind, caring, compassionate and exhibited the utmost professionalism at all times. He is a true gentleman! Junior never rushed me and he offered me information taking into consideration our finances throughout the entire delicate process. I have comfort knowing my uncle was treated with dignity and had the most beautiful going home service provided flawlessly by Junior and his staff. I would refer Junior to anyone in their time of need! Thanks again Junior! Pat
It was by chance I selected Danbury Memorial Funeral and Cremation Service. I wanted the ceremony to be a Celebration of my Mother's life. Junior listened to my ideas. I could not have found a more accommodating and helpful person to assist and guide me. On the day of the service I recieved many positive comments. Visitors entering the facility did not feel the heaviness of a tradition funeral home. The staff was respectful, courteous and considerate. Thank you Junior and Staff for making the saddest day of my life a bit more bearable. Dolores Chuisano and Family
I can't think of anything that's harder to make comfortable than a funeral. Junior and his staff made my uncle's funeral as comfortable as can be. My family had gone to a different funeral service first, but they didn't quite like the results, and didn't know where to turn. I suggested Danbury Memorial and Cremation, and Junior met us that day to set everything up. We got in there not feeling right, and were immediately made comfortable. There's a lot of respect here. Death is a lot harder on the living, but this place makes it a lot easier to deal with. I absolutely recommend this funeral home.
We were very satisfied with Danbury Memorial and Cremation Services and how well our family and friends were treated. Junior was professional and caring during the sad moment we are going through. His experience and dedication gave us peace of mind in arranging our father's service. He kept everything within our wishes: simplicity and genuine compassion. We would like to thank you and your team for all it was done for us as we mourned the loss of our father.
Junior is warm, caring and someone who truly listens. The facility is fresh and modern, offering comfort instead of gloom. Junior and his team met every request flawlessly. The celebration of our loved one was an event so positive that it is hard to believe it was for such an unhappy occasion.

When my mom passed last Saturday I was in charge of calling a cremation center. When I made the first call I was told they couldn't help me because I didn't have cash up front, I was shocked, devastated and scared on what was going to happen to my mother now. Then I remembered that my friend knew Junior. When I put a call into them, he called me right back and as soon as I heard his voice I knew things would be ok. He reassured me that he would be there to help in anyway he could and he held up to his word! During this stressful time I felt comforted to know someone else was there to help us. This website is so wonderful! It is so easy to use and so beautifully done. Our out of town family couldn't believe how easy it was to order flowers and they were delivered right to the church! I can't say thank you enough! I highly recommend Danbury Memorial!
Junior Rodriguez, the owner and funeral director of Danbury Memorial & Cremation Service is a gentleman and an absolute professional. Junior provided my family with compassion and understanding after the passing of my mother. Recently a very close friend suffered the unexpected death of her son. I recommended that my friend contact Junior and as I know from personal experience that he would help guide her through one of the most difficult moments of her life. Junior did a superb job in comforting the family and facilitating their needs in their time of sorrow. Junior Confessor offers his professional services as well as provides you with the comfort of a family member.
Having just buried our father we were now faced with planning a service for our mother who was on hospice care. This was the worst time of our lives. We met with Confessor (Junior) Rodriguez at his new facility in Danbury. It is not your “usual” old, dark and dingy, creaky floor funeral home. The whole place is light and feels welcoming. It is more a celebration of life which is exactly what it should be. Confessor is a gentle soul. He has a way of making the situation bearable. Although we did not need his services immediately he kindly went though our options. It did not feel like we were just checking off boxes on a form! We walked around his facility and loved it. They have the ability to play a video on flat screen tv’s and also can play any songs on a state of the art sound system. The service can be as upbeat or serene as you want. They offer many options all at an extremely reasonable price. Confessor stayed in touch with us over the next few weeks which was really appreciated. We needed to concentrate on our mother's failing health. He made that easy. The day came when we needed him. He was there promptly with his associates to take care of everything. The service was flawless. We recommend Danbury Memorial & Cremation Service to everyone.
My husband and I came to Danbury Memorial to make arrangements for my mom to be cremated. I had no idea what to expect. Junior was warm and caring and we immediately felt comfortable. He has a gift of putting you at ease and we really appreciated his kindness at such a difficult time.
We would highly recommend Danbury Memorial for their professionalism and courtesy at a time when it’s needed most.
This place was great, so helpful with everything at such a hard time. I would recommend this place to all friends & family.
A premier facility, our experience was of sincerity and caring. for Duke's service a celebration indeed. Many thanks to Confessor, Top Notch!
Junior Confessor a true gentlemen. We came in to make arrangements to have our mother cremated. Not knowing what to expect. We were quickly put to ease with Juniors kind words and proffessionalism. We sat where we were comfortable to dicuss the different options along with price. We went over all the paperwork that day, so we could mourn without worry. He truly made us feel better about our decisions and the heavy hearts were put at ease with all he had done. With much thanks I know our mother is resting peacefully now. We would recommend Danbury Memorial for a very courteous and proffessional experience at a time when you need it.
I was not sure what to expect when arranging a memorial and cremation service for my dad but Junior kindly listened first and offered simple suggestions without pushing any services/options that my family did not need. Junior perfectly carried out the memorial and cremation service for my dad and I am grateful for the professionalism and courtesy shown by him and his team towards my family.
Junior (Confessor) is a kind and professional person. He made the burial of my aunt to be an easier process compared to other funeral homes. He is a genuine person who really cares about the process of burying a loved one. HIs place makes you feel welcome, but also modern. I would like to thank him and his staff for making a difficult time a little easier.
Junior (Confessor) is a true gentleman. I was looking to have my mom cremated without the need for a full funeral. I was pleasantly put at ease once I started talking to Junior. He guided me through what was a simple process and convenient arrangements in order to take care of my mom. We did all the paperwork in the comfort of my Dining room. I would recommend Danbury Memorial for a professional and courteous experience you won't regret.
We are always interested in hearing from the families that we serve. Please take a moment to let us know how well we served you in your time of need. We very much appreciate your feedback.
