Phyllis G. Olschan

Phyllis G Olschan passed away peacefully on Oct 1, 2017 at her home with her loving daughter by her side after a brave battle with Alzheimers Disease.
Phyllis was born on April 21, 1929 in Bridgeport Ct.

People were blessed to have Phyllis in their life and she was a dear friend to everyone who knew her. Her smile and laughter brought so much warmth to all and  she would light up the room with her presence. She loved ballet and danced since she was a child and kept at it in her "own way" until the very end. 
She found so much joy in caring for her cats , entertaining friends and cooking wonderful dinners especially Beef Curry and Chocolate Souffle  which made her  a standout amongst friends and  it was  such a joy to see how happy it made her. 

Phyllis loved to garden, Knitted beautiful sweaters, oil painted , played cards especially solitaire  and helped wildlife and any creature that came to her door.  She was a very  kind, thoughtful  and loving woman. 
For years  early on,  Phyllis was a unit secretary at Stamford hospital  and Greenwich hospital and also devoted all of  her time and love, caring for her two children whom she adored .    I could not have asked for a better mother and we were so lucky to have her in our life.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter Melinda D Jeruss and sadly was preceded in death by her wonderful son Jeffrey S Jeruss. Rest in peace mom. Love You and Miss You Great Lady!!
