Loretta (Spruill) Mourning, 60 of Danbury, CT wife of Craig Mourning entered eternal rest on Tuesday October 17, 2017 with her loved ones by her side. Loretta was born on June 19, 1957 in Danbury, CT to the late Mary (Ladson) Spruill and James Spruill of Danbury, CT.
Loretta was raised in Danbury where she received her education thought the public-school system. In her early years she worked for Kimberly Clarke as a machine operator, she was a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens and before her illness Loretta served as a bus monitor for Student Transportation of America.
Loretta had a great love for her family, friends and a passion for children. In addition to her husband of twenty-five years and her father. Loretta leaves to cherish her fond memories, her mother in law Clara Mourning of Danbury, CT, two brothers Anthony Greene of Virginia, Shaun (Kilah) Anderson of Bethel, CT, three brother in laws, Jerome (Janice) Ingram, of Pittsburg, PA, Donny (Jennifer) Mourning of Danbury, CT and Timothy Mourning of New Haven, CT, one sister Helen Williams of Baltimore, MD, three sister in laws Deborah (Lionel) Douglas of Enfield, CT, Lilian Harris and Anna Mourning of Danbury, CT, Three godchildren Kasanya Vines Bohannon of Milford, CT, Chrisler Tavon Taylor of Danbury, CT, and Xiani Rodriquez-Danzy of Waterbury, CT, two aunts Eva Clemons of North Carolina, Dorthy Bellinger of Danbury, CT and a uncle Columbus Spruill of Danbury, CT , a special cousin Annette Braugher of Danbury, CT and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Loretta was predeceased by her brother Charles Junior Ladson, two brothers in law Noah Mourning and Roger Harris.
The Family of Loretta would like to extend thanks, appreciation and gratitude to all friends, well-wishers, nurses and Doctors for all your support, knowledge and kind hearts during times Loretta needed your assistance most. A Memorial Service in honor of Loretta will be held at Mount Pleasant A.M.E Zion Church, 69 Rowan Street, Danbury, CT 06810 by Pastor Quavon Z. Newton. Services will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2017 receiving family and friends at 11:00 am to 12:00 pm and service will begin at 12:00 pm.
