Yhameek Kyjuan Gerode Johnson passed away unexpectedly on June 20, 2021 in Danbury, CT. Yhameek was born on September 29, 2002 in Danbury, CT to Avery Gerode Johnson and Laticia Lonette Henderson.
Yhameek was a recent graduate of CT Junior Republic in Litchfield CT.
Yhameek had a smile that would light up a room. His dimples were everything…Yhameek loved playing football and basketball…He was also very crafty. He loved making things, especially things for his grandma’s yard. He often helped her with her yard work, he was always helping out wherever he was needed…He loved music money and playing casino games on his phone…He loved him some fried chicken and fried shrimp…Yhameek LOVED HIS FAMILY AND ANYONE WHO LOVED HIM.
In addition to his parents, Yhameek leaves to cherish his memories with his four siblings; Anari Pratt, Helen King, Andrew Hill and Roberta King; Stepmother Tina Johnson; maternal grandmother Vinaldo "Sissy" Green; maternal grandfather Lonnie Taft; paternal grandmother Anita “Nippy” Johnson and paternal grandfather Timothy Hopkins. Yhameek was blessed to have Aunts Shurika Rosado, Kalonnda Taft, Safonya Ray, Carlene Hopkins, Shamika Danzy, Ketura "Toy" Henderson, Shayna Christie and Sabrina Green; Uncles Laheen Danzy, Ehson Rosado, Troy Lopez and Dimitrie Hopkins. Four cousins that he cherished: Oceana, Raimir, Yaniah and Kavalli Lenee’, and a host of great aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will cherish his memory.
Yhameek is predeceased by his great grandmother's Wilhelmina “Candy” Henderson, Vera Burnett, Joanne Johnson; great grandfather Charles Henderson; uncle Lonnie "Polo" Rosado; cousin Khalil Abdul-Hakeem and his Pop Pop Phillip Green.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Tuesday June 29th, 2021 Viewing 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with a service from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Mount Pleasant A.M.E. Zion Church (69 Rowan St, Danbury, CT 06810).
