Ycelza Batista de Espinal Obituary

Ycelza Maria Batista de Espinal passed away on November 4, 2020 at her own home in Danbury, CT. Ycelza was born on January 13, 1935 in San Jose de Las Matas, Dominican Republic to the late Manuel Antonio Batista and Maria Tineo. Wife of the late Americo De Jesus Espinal.

As a mother of 14 children, 30 Grandchildren, and 34 Great Grandchildren, she was nurturing and did everything for anyone. You could always find her in the kitchen cooking or cleaning. She was always ready to help. She was a bright light in everyone's life. She gave the best hugs and always had a smile on her face.

Ycelza is survived by her ten children; daughter Rosa Maria Espinal, son Hypolito Antonio Espinal, son Jose Lorenzo Espinal, daughter Teodocia Carmen Espinal, son Isidro De Jesus Espinal, son Demetrio Antonio Espinal, son Leonardo De Jesus Espinal, son Rafael De Jesus Espinal, son Pedro Maria Espinal, son Jaime Espinal. As well as 30 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday November 10, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (29 Golden Hill Rd, Danbury CT 06811) by invitation only due to COVID procedures. Burial to take place in Dominican Republic. To light a candle or leave a condolence, please continue to our Tribute Wall tab.
