William J. MacDonald, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2024 at Danbury Hospital. He was 85 years old.
Born on May 16, 1939 in Manchester, CT, son of the late John and Anna MacDonald. Bill honorably served in the Unites States Air Force from 1956-1962.
While stationed in France, Bill met and married his beloved wife Lucienne Demoy on December 31, 1960. Lucienne predeceased Bill on July 6, 2013.
Bill was a Teamster truck driver until he retired in 1999. His hobby was to be a vendor at numerous flea markets. His favorite past time was to go to the casino with friends and family. He was also an avid UCONN basketball fan, both the men and women. Also, a lifetime Red Sox fan.
William is survived by his children; Nadine MacDonald of Danbury and Steven MacDonald and his wife Kasia of Bristol, his sisters in law, Joan MacDonald and Mary MacDonald and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was loved by all who met him and he always had a smile on his face and was quick to joke. He will be dearly missed.
