Victor Cruz Sanchez

Victor Cruz Sanchez, of Danbury, CT, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on July 13, 2024. He was 87 years old.

Born on March 10, 1937 in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico son of the late Agapito Cruz Hernandez and Jova Sanchez. Victor honorably served in the US Army from 1956-1957. He was married to the love of his life Leida Cora. Together Victor and Leida came to the United States in 1986.

Victor was a remarkable person; he always had a smile on his face and wanted to make everyone laugh. He was an adoring husband, loved father and an amazing grandfather.

Victor is not only survived by his beloved wife Leida, but also his children; Raul A. Cruz (Maria), Leyda C. Cruz, Barbara R. Cruz (Juan Rosado), Ester M. Cruz, his grandchildren; Raul A. Cruz Jr. Yanelie M. Mejas, Jeremiah A. Rosado and Steven Garcia Jr. He was predeceased by his son-in-law Steven Garcia.
