Vanna Hakmouy Ros, of New Milford, CT, passed away with her family by her side on June 29, 2025. She was 55 years old.Born on October 10, 1969 in Battambong, Cambodia, daughter of the late Seng Siv Hong and Louy Choung.
Vanna was married to the love of her life and soulmate, Sokhak Ros, with whom she shared 31 wonderful years. Together, they raised two beautiful children and created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unwavering love.
She found joy in life’s simple pleasures — cooking for her family and friends, nurturing her garden, and helping raise her two beloved grandchildren. Vanna gave endlessly to others, always putting the needs of those around her before her own.
Fearless, kind, and full of life, Vanna lived each day with purpose and passion. Her strength, compassion, and radiant spirit touched everyone she met. Leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and selflessness that will never be forgotten. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her loving husband Sokhak, her children Jasmine, Dylan, Grant, Jade and Dwayne, her grandchildren Olivia and Kameron, and her dear sister Munn Nether. She is also lovingly remembered by her extended family — the Hong family, Ky family, Prak family, Ros family, Deab family, Chhom family, Evuen family, Chau family, Som family, Bith family, Lor family, and Em family — as well as a wide circle of friends and community who were blessed to have known her.
A service will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home, 117 South Street, Danbury, CT, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., with a cremation service to follow at Stone Family Crematory, 125 Bullet Hill Road, Southbury, CT.
