Tore Nordahl Obituary

Tore Bjorn Nordahl, a longtime resident of Los Angeles, CA and former resident of Brookfield, CT, passed away suddenly at Danbury Hospital in CT on September 27, 2025. He was 80 years old.

Born on December 24, 1944 in Oslo, Norway, son of the late Alfred and Ann (Sandbaek) Nordahl. He honorably served in the Norwegian Airforce in the early 60s. Tore came to the United States in 1968 and later became a U.S. citizen; however, he kept close to his roots and visited Norway often.

Tore married Regina Foley on April 17, 2003 in California. The two of them ‘met’ on one of the first dating sites over 23 years ago.

Tore had a wealth of knowledge and that spread to his many careers, which included sales of recording consoles, other audio-visual roles and HDTV consulting. He was mentioned on Michael Jackson’s Bad album and supplied the audio equipment for “We Are The World”.

He was a jack of all trades and really enjoyed working on house and car projects. He was Mr. Fix It and loved problem-solving.

Tore is survived by his beloved wife Regina (Terry), his only child Ann Nordahl and her partner Nathan Oleksak, and many beloved cousins and family in Norway. He will be greatly missed.

A celebration of his life will be held in Norway and California. A private cremation was held. Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street) assisted the family with arrangements. To send the family condolences please visit www.danburymemorial.com.
