Terryl (Punches) Litterio, 92, of Danbury, Connecticut
Terry Loverne “Terryl” (Punches) Litterio passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 22, 2026, at the age of 92. Born on April 1, 1934, in Clinton, Massachusetts, Terryl worked many years at The Taunton Press and later at a Montessori school in Danbury, where she was known as the beloved “front office grandma.”
She is survived by her sister Marcia, her eight children—Gloria, Donna, Kenny, Gregory, Kathy, Megin, and Matthew—and 24 grandchildren, with more than 35 great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sisters Lorna and Ruthie, and her son Michael.
Terry was a devoted member of the Bethel Seventh-day Adventist Church. Terryl’s life was marked by faith, music, and love for her family and community. She sang whenever she could and loved the sight of red birds, which she called gentle reminders of God’s presence. As her daughter Kathy said, she didn’t raise a family—she grew a village.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 42 Shelter Rock Road, Danbury, CT 06810, Saturday April 18th from 3:30 to 5:00 PM for all that want to bring a smile, sing or just share a memory of Terry.
