Teresa Crisci Franzese

Teresa Crisci Franzese, of Danbury, CT, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on September 11, 2025. She was 85 years old.

Born on July 13, 1940 in Pago di Lavoro, Italy, daughter of the late Angelo and Palma (Napolitano) Crisci. Teresa traveled with her family on the Andrea Doria from Italy and immigrated to the United States on January 17, 1956. Teresa met the love of her life Aniello while he was working a job for her father. They married on October 29, 1960 and lived a life full of love.

Teresa had many jobs over the years; she worked for a dress maker at a bridal boutique and was a bank teller, but her greatest job and joy in life was being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. That was her greatest job and best achievement in life. Teresa was a kindhearted person and selfless, she was always there when you needed her. She was everyone’s mother and loved attending every grandchild’s event she could get to.

Teresa is lovingly survived by her husband Aniello, her children; Salvatore (Melinda) Franzese, Angelo (Kelly) Franzese, Palma (James) Giannone and Theresa (Frank) Nocera, her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren, nephews and nieces and friends, her brother Jerry (Patti) Crisci, her sister-in-law Susan and brother-in-law Tony. She was predeceased by her brother Frank and sister Josephine.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday September 15, 2025 at 10:30am at St. Peter’s Church (Main Street, Danbury). Entombment will immediately follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery (Lake Avenue Ext, Danbury). A visitation will be held on Sunday September 14, 2025 from 1pm-4pm at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street, Danbury). To send a condolence in her memory please go to tribute tab.
