Susan Elizabeth White, of Port Charlotte, FL, passed away in the comfort of her family on March 10, 2026 at Danbury Hospital. She was 72 years old.
Born on August 13, 1953 in North Hampton, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Hanford Weed and Florence Marie (Heibler) Smith. Susan graduated from Danbury High School and was known for her infectious smile and bright blue eyes that lit up every room. She is survived by her loving husband Wilbur White; together they enjoyed over 32 years of love and joy.
Susan was a CNA at Laurel Ridge Center for Health & Rehab as well as Candlewood Valley Nursing home. What filled her heart with so much love & joy was spending time with her family, taking Disney trips with her sisters and grandchildren, going to any casino, baking cakes or cupcakes for any occasion. She was an active member of the memorial committee as well as others within her community at Maple Leaf Golf & Country Club.
Susan is lovingly survived by her husband Wilbur, her children; Greg Chauvin (Michele), Sueann Barber (Jeff), Sheila Chauvin and her step daughter Tonya White her grandchildren; Alexis Mulholland (Thomas), Devan Levesque, Brittney Bradish (Justin), Gregory Chauvin Jr (Nicole), Giavonni Fauntleroy (Carmen), Jordan Chauvin, her great grandchildren; Greyson, Gianna, Emily and Olivia and her siblings; Hank, Bruce, Alan, Patti, Russ, Bonnie.
A life gathering celebration will be held on Thursday March 19, 2026 from 5pm-7pm at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street). A private cremation was held prior. Danbury Memorial Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. To send condolences visit www.danburymemorial.com.
