Steven Encarnacion

Steven Encarnacion, of Danbury, CT, passed away on January 14, 2024. He was 43 years old. His loss is completely unexpected and his family is profoundly saddened.

Born on January 9, 1981 in Yonkers, NY, to Fabian Encarnacion and Altagracia “Grace” Galva and raised in Danbury CT. Steve attended Danbury High School.

Steve was an avid sports fan, especially basketball, baseball, and fishing. He was a gentle giant with an enormous heart who loved animals. He was always willing to help others. He enjoyed playing his music from the 90s. The most important thing in Steve’s life was his family. He loved his nieces, nephews, and younger cousins with all his heart. Steven made sure to always keep in touch with his family and friends.

Steve is not only survived by his loving parents Fabian and Altagracia but also his siblings; Jonathan, Fabian Jr (Yachira), Randy, Fabiana, Raschel and Failin, his 5 nieces and nephews; JJ, Jeriah, Naylah, Sophie and Camille, many aunts and uncles and cousins who all loved him dearly. He will be greatly missed.

A celebration of life gathering will be held on Sunday January 21, 2024 at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street) from 1pm-4pm with a service starting at 3pm. A private cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers, family and friends of Steven Encarnacion who prefer to provide a memorial contribution may do so. The family will use these to honor Steven Encarnacion’s life and memory. Please continue to keep the family in your thoughts throughout this challenging time.
