Stephen Alfred Matoes

Stephen Alfred Matoes passed away on September 26, 2025. He was born on January 24th, 1956 in South Kingstown, Rhode Island to George Matoes and Marie Finley. He leaves behind a legacy of Children and Grandchildren.

A longtime New Milford resident, Stephen worked as a Truck Driving and Machine Operator for his town for many years.
Stephen was an outdoorsy man; he found a lot of joy in nature and loved to go camping whenever he had the chance. When Stephen did find himself indoors, chances are he was relaxing by watching the latest Nascar race.

Never one for the big and grand, Stephen was a simple man content to live a simple life.
In accordance with his wishes, formal services are not to be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to a charity of your choice in Stephen’s memory.
