Stella R. Koval passed away peacefully at Danbury Hospital with her family by her side. She was 85 years old.
Born on August 26, 1938 in Danbury, CT, daughter of the late Michael and Stella (Vivieros) Scalzo. Stella graduated from Danbury High School in 1957 and attended secretarial school.
She married the love of her life Peter Koval on August 1, 1970. Stella was an administrative assistant for many companies over the years, her final career before retirement was with Caldwell Banker in New Milford CT.
Stella was a hard worker; she never gave up on accomplishing her goals. She loved her family and visiting them. Stella could often be found watching Fox News. Stella and her sister Sandra loved to go shopping together, often buying clothing that would never be worn.
Stella is not only survived by her husband Peter, but also her daughters; Cheryl Pierce and Joy Scozzafava and her husband Henry, her four grandchildren; Bryan Jamerson, Kyle Pickle, Matthew Scozzafava and Tonya Hughes, her great grandchildren Anthony Jamerson and Sophia Scozzafava and her sisters, Beverly and Renee and her husband Ronald. She was predeceased by her son David Pierce, her grandson Henry Scozzafava Jr and her sisters Phyllis and Sandra.
A private graveside service will be held at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street) assisted the family with arrangements. To send the family condolences please visit www.danburymemorial.com
