Sinel Ribeiro

Sinel Ribeiro 97, passed away on January 25, 2019. He was born on March 27, 1921 in Nabais, Portugal, son of Caesar and Teresa (Pina) Ribeiro.

Sinel met and fell in love with his wife, Luciana (Santos) Ribeiro, and they were married on November 8, 1947.  He served in the US Army during World War II. He belonged to the Sons of Portugal and played on their soccer team. He worked at many tailor shops in Danbury and also at Castro Convertibles for many years.

Sinel leaves his wife of 71 years,a son Edward Ribeiro and wife Candice, and a daughter Idalina Ribeiro. Grandchildren, Edward Ribeiro,Jr and his wife Tracy, Kristine Miller, and Matthew Ribeiro and his wife Jeanette, Michelle and Estin  Miranda, Greatgrandchildren Victoria and Haylee Alves, Hunter Miller, Gehrig and Reilly Ribeiro, Liam Ribeiro,  Arrianna Quinones and Benjamin Kurtz.

A Memorial Service will be held at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home, 117 South Street, Danbury on Friday February 1, 2019 from 6 to 8 P.M.

We would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses, and Aides of Western Rehabilition and Danbury Hospital for all the loving care they gave Sinel over the years.
