Sharon Wilson Santi
Sharon Wilson Santi passed away peacefully in her home in Brookfield on January 18, 2026. She was born in Danbury on July 29,1948 to Arthur and Catherine Wilson and spent her early life in Danbury, graduating from Danbury High School with the class of 1966. It was in high school that she met and later married the love of her life, Carlo Santi. They were married for 50 years before Carlo's passing in 2024. Sharon went on to graduate from Elmira College in 1970 with a degree in early education.
Sharon was hired by the Brookfield Board of Education where she began nurturing many young students. Her 40 year education career began at Huckleberry Hill Elementary School teaching 2nd grade before eventually moving to Center Elementary School where she taught 1st grade, later becoming the school's library teacher. Additionally, Sharon spent 25 years working at the Brookfield Library in a variety of capacities. She was a long standing member of the Congregational Church of Brookfield, serving as a deacon and volunteered on many committees.
While teaching was her passion, Sharon, in her free time, enjoyed reading and watching her favorite baseball, basketball and football teams. She was a kind and generous woman that loved spending time with family and friends first, always putting their needs ahead of her own. She had an uncanny ability to remember her students decades later when seeing them as adults or simply recalling past childhood stories. She will be missed.
Sharon was predeceased by her husband, Carlo Santi, parents Arthur and Catherine Wilson, brothers Dickie and Thomas Wilson. She is survived by her son, Garrett and daughter-in-law Susan Santi, brother Charles and sister-in-law Susan Wilson, sister Dorothy and brother-in-law Charles Baker, sister-in-law Lori Wilson and sister-in-law Nada Rivoli. Additionally, she is survived by nieces; Melissa MacInnis, Danielle Baker, Christina Ford, Lisa Layton and nephews; Jonathon Wilson, Charles and Robert Wilson, in addition to many cousins that she cared deeply about.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, May 9th, at the Congregational Church of Brookfield (160 Whisconier Rd, Brookfield, CT).
