Sergio Dos Santos Francisco

Sergio Dos Santos Francisco passed away peacefully on April 9, 2022 at Regional Hospice in Danbury, CT while surrounded by his family. Sergio was born on May 1, 1953 in Valado Santa Quiteria, Alfeizerao, Portugal to the late Miguel Bernardino Francisco and Zulmira Bernardino Dos Santos and husband of Lucimar De Souza.

In his younger years Sergio was a passionate soccer player who loved the competition of the game; as he grew his passion for the sport stayed with him, excitedly cheering on his favorite team Benfica S. C. anytime he caught a game either at home or at a Portuguese Bar. 

Sergio served in the Portuguese Marines at a younger age prior to moving to the United States;  then became a skilled carpenter working with the carpentry union of Connecticut for many years prior to his retirement, he also enjoyed going for long walks outside on his spare time. A hard working man whose main priority had always been his children, always doing his best in being a good provider and protective father. 

He was a husband, beloved father, and grandfather who will be dearly missed by all who loved him. A man who was always well informed about many different topics and truly passionate about a good debate and argument. 

In addition to his wife, Lucimar, Sergio is survived by his daughter beloved Gabriella Francisco Barouh, son Anthony Francisco, stepdaughter Cinthya De Souza, and stepdaughter Debora De Sousa. As well as his granddaughter Daniella Barouh, brother Carlos Dos Santos Francisco, and sister-in-law Dionilde Francisco. 

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Wednesday April 13, 2022 at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South St, Danbury CT 06810) from 5 to 7 p.m. with a prayer service to begin at 6:30 p.m. To join the live stream services, please click the link below in the Service Details section.
