Sergey Malyk passed on from this life on December 2nd, 2024. He was born to Gennady Andreevich Malyk and Iya Pavlovna Parinova on March 7th, 1977 in Russia.
Sergey was an outdoorsy person and adored animals. He loved going on walks and enjoyed swimming. Sergey was very brilliant, he received his PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Southern California. He worked as an optical engineer for ten years at ASML. He always took great care of his family and was a loving husband and father. He enjoyed working on his car and spending time reading science fiction. He was a person of great faith.
Sergey is survived by his loving wife of twenty-six years: Olga Viktorovna Ilyaschenko Malyk; his father: Gennady Andreevich Malyk; and his son: Alexander Sergeevich Malyk. He is also
remembered by his sisters: Alina Filippenkova, Irina Telepova, and Yelena Zakharova; and his many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, December 6th at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South St. Danbury, CT.) from 12:00 noon to 1:00pm, with a service to begin at 1:00pm. Internment will immediately follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Bethel.
