Senora Lea Peton went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 9th, 2025. She was born on May 16th, 1944 to James Anderson and Hazel Mae Virginia Mason.
If you were to look up “Gregarious” in the dictionary: Senora’s picture would be there. She was a people person, and she showed that by chatting, socializing, and having others over; but she also had a much richer love for people which she showed by supporting and caring for others however and whenever she could.
Never a fair-weather friend, Senora stood by her people through thick and thin. She didn’t just love people sometimes, she loved people always and made a point to uplift and support the people around her. It’s no surprise that she made a career for herself as a CNA, devoting herself to caring for others as a profession for 10 years working at the Danbury Pavilion.
When she was relaxing, you could find Senora watching re-runs of the Golden Girls, the Price is Right, or some Soap Opera that she enjoyed fully- as silly or over-the-top as they sometimes were.
She was proud to be a mother, grandmother, and even great-grandmother. Even when she wasn’t strong enough to watch the kids, she’d still be the first to offer to babysit! Senora’s family made her heart full.
Senora was, above all, a devoted woman of God. If you got to talking about God, Senora wouldn’t be far behind. She loved the Lord and was very firm in her faith. Senora was a bright woman; she had a lightness about her that lit up every room she was in. Her family will remember her fondly for her kindness, openness, and generosity.
Senora’s memory is carried on by her children: Jacqueline Cordeiro (Son-In-Law: Ricky), and LeOscar Peton; as well as her grandchildren: Syrbreana, Fatricia, Melo, Anthony, Lazzera, and Theodor; in addition to her many Great-Grandchildren and Nieces and Nephews who she cared for deeply. She is also grieved by her sister, Julie Arrington.
Senora has gone on to joyfully re-unite with her parents, James and Hazel, as well as with her grandson Nathaniel.
A celebration of life service will be held at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South St. Danbury, CT.) on Friday, October 17th from 4:00pm to 6:00pm; with a service to begin at 5:15pm.
