Say Na passed away peacefully in the comfort of her own home on May 23, 2023 at the age of 95. She is a survivor of the Khmer Rouge genocide in her home country of Cambodia and migrated to Danbury, CT, in 1984, along with her family, where she resided until her passing. Throughout her remarkable life, Say Na radiated love towards all her children, grandchildren and great children. Beyond the joy of spending cherished moments with her family and friends, some of her greatest passions included gardening and giving back to her community by spearheading the construction of temples, schools, and water systems throughout many villages in her home country of Cambodia.
Say Na was predeceased by two children. Those left to cherish her memories and carry on her legacy include: her beloved husband of 75 years, Hao Kom and her 7 living children and their supportive spouses. Additionally, she leaves behind 23 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren, with more on the way. As a true matriarch of the family, she provided unwavering comfort and security to all who had the privilege of loving her.
