Samuel Sanyet, of Danbury, CT, passed away peacefully at his home on January 9, 2026. He was 89 years old. Samuel was also known by his many nicknames; Pac-Man, Daddy Yankee, Superman. Mr. Sanyet.
Born on October 29, 1936 in Canovanas, Puerto Rico, son of the late Mateo Sanyet and Jovita Morales.
Samuel was a machinist with Kanthal Corporation for over 30 years before his retirement. He enjoyed fast cars. Samuel loved the Lord immensely; he was serving the Lord and his local church for 40+ years and was considered a strong prayer warrior. He enjoyed time in church and with his family, he also enjoyed bringing smiles to many.
Samuel is lovingly survived by his siblings who are Puerto Rico, his sons; Samuel Sanyet, Greg Sanyet his daughters: Kathy Edwards, Lynn O’Malley and Milagros “Millie” Morales. He is also survived by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life gathering will be held on Monday, January 12, 2026 at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street, Danbury) from 11am-12pm with a service beginning at 12pm. Interment will immediately follow at Wooster Cemetery (20 Ellsworth Avenue, Danbury).
