Ronald Jenner James

Ronald Jenner James went home to be with his Savior on April 21, 2025. He was born in Marigot, Dominica on June 11, 1952 to Patrick James and Delpha Robin Prince.

Ronald was a kind person. As the oldest of twelve children, he learned early on in life how to care for others. Ronald was a quiet and private individual; forgoing large parties and nights out for cozy nights at home playing dominos and dancing to his favorite island music. That isn’t to say that Ronald was a stranger to a good time, however; as he was always making people laugh and could easily merit the title of “The life of the party.”

In his working years, Ronald was a carpenter by trade, but his love for crafting and woodworking began at a young age. In his youth, Ronald would frequently get a hold of various bits and bobbles that he could take apart and put back together for fun. The skill and experience he gained in his craft was self-taught and hard earned, and it was something he prided himself on.

Ronald lit up each room he was in; he was caring, compassionate, and dearly beloved by everyone who came to call him their friend. He was a good person, a good father, and a good friend; and he will forever be missed.

Ronald’s memory is carried on by his children: Jinna James, Mecala Richardson, Janet Joseph, and Mercia Mark; along with his grandchildren: Ajani Edwards, Jonathan Richardson, Juleika Richardson, and Jeremy Richardson; his siblings: Ida Prince, Lucia Riviere, Debra Durand, Clara James, Judith Prince, Edith Prince, Peterson Prince, Kenworth Prince, Avril James and Jessie James; along with his many nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family would also like to honor his best friend, Calvin Richards for staying close to Ronald throughout the many years of their friendship.
Ronald has gone on to reunite with his parents and finally meet his three siblings who passed away in infancy.

A memorial service will be held at The Mount Pleasant A.M.E. Zion Church (69 Rowan Street, Danbury CT 06810) on May 3rd, 2025 beginning at 3:30pm.
