Ronald John Caporale

Ronald J. Caporale Sr, of Bethel, CT died peacefully at Danbury Hospital with his wife of 51 years by his side on September 8, 2023. He was 83 years old.

Ron was born on November 1, 1939 in Stamford, CT, son of the late John and Catherine (Bafundi) Caporale. Ron graduated from Stamford High School. He married the love of his life Patricia Doulens on April 23, 1972.

Ron worked most his life in pest control before retiring and working part time at his local church. He enjoyed target shooting, having picnics with family, going out on his Harley for a ride, trips to Pennsylvania with his wife and most of all being Pop-Pop to his grandchildren. 

Ron is survived by his wife Patricia, his children; Catherine Caporale (Timothy Jones), Jacqueline Caporale (Andrzej Kida), Ronni-Lynne Smith and her husband Mark, Ronald Caporale Jr, his grandchildren; Ronald Caporale III, Antonio Caporale and his wife Nicole, Kait-Lynne Smith, Xavier Smith, Gabriel Caporale, Alexandria Caporale. 

Also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Richard Caporale and his sister Frances Caporale.

A visitation will be held Tuesday September 12, 2023 at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street, Danbury) from 5pm-8pm. A funeral service will be held Friday September 15, 2023 11am at St. Thomas Episcopal Church (95 Greenwood Avenue, Bethel)
