Robert Richard Torpey

Robert Richard Torpey passed away peacefully on September 24, 2019 while surrounded by his loving family at Regional Hospice in Danbury, CT. Robert was born on October 10, 1946 in Norwalk, CT to the late Elizabeth and Francis E. Torpey Sr. Husband of the late Louise Torpey.

Robert proudly worked as a certified welder for the bridge crew of the State of Connecticut for many years.

Robert had a passion for sports. In his younger years he coached little league baseball for his two sons.  His favorite sport teams were the Mets and the Giants, who’s games he would always be sure to watch. 

Robert is survived his four beloved children; son Shawn Torpey, son Robert Richard Torpey Jr., daughter Darlene Dominici and daughter Dawn Dominici. Two brothers; George and Jimmy Torpey. As well as four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers; Michael Torpey, Joseph Totten, and Francis Torpey Jr. 

Private services are to be held by the family at a later date.
