Robert Pallo Obituary

The story of Robert K. Pallo, of Brookfield, CT, came to an end on Friday, September 22, 2023 at Danbury Hospital Center. He was 71 years old, and died of natural causes.

Bob’s story started on April 20th, 1952 in Danbury, CT, son of Charles E. Pallo and Etta C. (Barrett).

Bob was a graduate of Immaculate High School, class of 1970, where he played on the football and track & field teams. He also played basketball for the CYO - Catholic Youth Organization for 4 years.

He was an avid sports fan. His 3 favorite sports teams were the NY Yankees, the NY Giants, and anyone playing the Dallas Cowboys!

Bob spent his career at Davis & Geck/Amercan Cyanamid in Danbury for over 25 years. Following his retirement as a printing for D&G, he eventually found his way back the same property years later as a security guard for Mankind before officially retiring in 2016.

Bob’s greatest passion was being on the golf course. Starting in his early years as a caddy at Ridgewood Golf Course Danbury, to then became a long standing member of Sunset Hills Golf Course in Brookfield, with a hole in one under his belt!

Bob loved his lifetime of dogs as pets, having multiple Miniature Schnauzers. In his later years, he found his way to becoming a volunteer at DAWS Danbury Animal Welfare Society, where he eventually adopted a sweet and loving Pitbull named “Angel”, that had resided at the shelter for 5 years. She lived a well loved and spoiled life as his companion until February 2022.

Bob was a humble man, but lived life his own way. While he never had a child of his own, he was my stepfather. Coming into my life when I was 11 years old, he helped me become the man I am today. He was incredibly loving and I could not have asked for a better man to step into life when he did. I hope I can live up to his example for my son and my stepdaughter.

With his final breath, Bob was surrounded with the love of family and friends; brother Charles and his wife Mary Jane, his stepson Joseph and grandson Roman Nati, Lindsay Ehat Nati, Lucette Taylor, and lifelong friend Phil Chiarella.

Bob will be missed by many and his celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street) from 5pm-7pm. Interment will be private.
