Robert Gilchrist Obituary

Robert Eugene (“Bobby”) Gilchrist passed away suddenly in the comfort of his home on Monday September 1, 2025. He was 59 years old.

Born on April 30, 1966 in Norwalk, CT, to Robert W. and Jane A. (Fuller) Gilchrist, Bobby graduated from Danbury High School and spent over 35 years working as an electrician.

Bobby met the love of his life, Lisa Pannozzo, while coaching their children in Little League baseball. They married on June 30, 2012 and have enjoyed a life full of laughter and joy.

Bobby had a heart of gold; he always wanted to make others laugh and smile. He loved to cook, spend time with his family and friends—the smoker was always running to feed his loved ones. He was an avid New York Giants fan and loved to watch racing with his father and boys.

Bobby is survived by his wife Lisa, his children RJ and his wife Kim; Jordan; Michael Byrne and his wife Alicia and granddaughter Sophia Byrne; his parents Bob and Jane Gilchrist; his sister Terri Vitti and her husband John and his nephew John and niece Haley.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday September 6th, 2025 from 12pm-2pm at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street). A private cremation took place. Please visit www.danburymemorial.com to send the family condolences.
