Richard Maiolo Obituary

Richard Joseph Maiolo Sr. passed away peacefully on December 6, 2021 at age 85¾ . Richard was born on March 19, 1936 in Nardo di Pace, Calabria - Italy to his awesome parents Gugliermo and Concetta Maiolo, and is survived his sweet wife Emelie Maiolo.

Richard is survived by his loving wife Emelie Maiolo and his daughter Jodi Baldassin and her husband Paul, their children Gabriella and Dante.  Richard’s son Rick, his beautiful wife DeeDee, their Daughter’s Giovanna Foster, Samantha Maiolo and Sophia Maiolo.  Along with Brandon Foster, Giovanna’s husband whom he loved like his own Grandchild.

Richard only had three hobbies: doting on his Wife, loving his Grandchildren, and making the worlds best pasta sauce.

Richard loved Jesus, rising each morning for his daily reading, prayers, and meditation followed by daily mass.  He taught his children to love your neighbor and be willing to give them the shirt off your back.  He lived by example volunteering at Rosary Hill for incurable cancer patients.  Then after retiring going back to school to become a nurse in order to serve the Lord as a nurse in Hospice Care until he was the age of seventy eight.

We will be celebrating his journey to be with his Lord with a mass at St. Mary Church in Ridgefield, CT on Saturday December 18th at 10:00 am.
