Richard F. Lake moved on from this life on October 6th 2024, following a brief battle with cancer. He was born to Richard E. Lake and Lyda Mae Piskura on April 18th, 1956 in Danbury, Connecticut.
He attended Danbury schools and was a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1978 to 1982, He was a volunteer for Beckerle Fire Hose Company Engine 9 in Danbury for many years. He worked for many different companies CVS, Marcus Dairy, Bardens, and Heil-Coil. He retired in 2020 from Kimberly-Clark.
Richie was cherished for his kind, loving, caring heart, and his humorous personality.
Richard is now reunited with his loving wife, Judy Lake, as well as his father. Granddaughter Shannon Mead. Great grandson Sawyer Mead. Son-in-law Brian Harden. Brother-in-law Bobby Barnwell.
Richard’s memory is carried on by his son, Victor O’Creene; his daughter Donna Harden. Brothers Albert Lake, Fred Lake (Maryann), Glenn. Sisters Patricia Olsen(Gordon), Donna Barnwell, Brenda Schlemmer(Gersom). Granddaughter Brianna Wool(Joe). Grandsons Victor P. O’Creene III, Kyle O’Creene, Casey Shariff and Shawn Mead. Great Grandson Sylus Mead. Many Nieces and Nephews. He will be missed by all of those who knew him.
A special thank you to brother Albert and niece Amanda Kiely for opening their home and being his caregivers in his last months.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held in Richard’s honor at the Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South St. Danbury, CT.) on Friday October 18,2024 From 5 to 7pm with a Celebration of life Service to begin at 6:30pm. To light a candle in Richards memory please visit www.danburymemorial.com
