Richard Michael Bauer

Richard Michael Bauer, 66, of Danbury, Connecticut, passed away peacefully in his home on October 12, 2025. 

Richard was a brilliant man whose intellect, drive, and compassion left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.  In his early years he was very involved in scouting and swimming, becoming an Eagle scout and Captain of his High School and college swim teams.  A graduate of Roosevelt High School in Kent, Ohio.  He earned his bachelor’s from Hiram College, master’s from University of Akron, and Ph.D. degrees from Ohio State University, a testament to his lifelong dedication to learning and excellence. 

He had a rewarding career as a scientist at several leading pharmaceutical companies, where he was deeply dedicated to the advancement of medical science. Through his work, Richard made meaningful contributions to the development of new treatments that have benefited countless individuals, leaving a lasting mark on the field and on the lives his work touched.

Richard was a loving son, brother, and father.  He is survived by his mother, Patricia; his brothers, Keith and Gregg; and his daughter, Bianca.  He was predeceased by his father, Richard, and we take comfort in knowing they are together again in a better place.

Though life’s paths may have led us in different directions, Richard will always be remembered and loved deeply by his family.  His legacy of intelligence, perseverance, and quiet strength will continue to inspire those who knew him.
