Rene G. Riendeau

Rene G. Riendeau, 86, of Bridgewater, CT, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 30, 2025.

Born on April 21, 1938, in Coaticook, Quebec, Canada, he was the son of the late Arsene and Alberta (Larochelle) Riendeau. Rene met the love of his life, Gloria McBreairty, in New Milford, CT.

Rene was a professional painter and the proud owner of Riendeau Painting. He had a deep love for reading and studying his Bible and was passionate about talking to others about his Christian faith. The heart of Rene’s life was his family, and he cherished every moment shared with his children and grandchildren.

Rene is survived by his beloved wife, Gloria, and his children: Claude, Steven, Elijah (Christie), Matthew (Kohlby), and Joshua (Brendan). He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Liam, Carter, Mason, Renee, Gwendolyn, Lorelei, Isabella, Chantel, Nicole, Danielle, Tyler, Yana, and Ciearra; his great-grandchildren: Porter and Sawyer; and his siblings: Danielle, Diane, and Richard. He was predeceased by his parents and siblings: Andre, Carmen, Louise, Bernard, and Claire.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 12th at 2:00 PM at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 296 New Britain Avenue, Newington, CT 06111.
