Randolph Szwaja Obituary

Randolph (Randy) Michael Szwaja, 75, of Danbury, passed away on Monday, April 1st after a brief illness. He was the son of Clara (Jackie) Mosakowski Szwaja and Mieczyslaw (Mike) Szwaja and was born and raised in Acushnet, MA but lived most of his life in Danbury, CT.  He loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. Randy worked on small projects around the house and the family’s cars. He enjoyed science fiction books and movies. 

Randolph is predeceased by his parents and his brother Steven Szwaja. He is survived by his sister, Theresa Szwaja of New Bedford; his wife, Marcella Salhus Szwaja of Danbury, CT; and his children and grandchildren: Julie Szwaja and her husband Javier Santiago and their children Nathaniel, Caitlyn and Jacob of Stratford, CT; Marcella Szwaja of Stamford, CT; and Cheryl Szwaja and her husband Dominic Ambrosi of Danbury, CT. 

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday April 5, 2024 at 11am at St. Gregory the Great Church (85 Great Plain Rd, Danbury). Interment will follow at St. Peters Cemetery. A celebration of life gathering will be held on Thursday April 4, 2024 from 5pm-7pm at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street, Danbury).
