Rafael M. Rodas, of Danbury, CT, passed away peacefully at his home on July 29, 2026. He was 89 years old.

Born on May 28, 1937 in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, son of the late Rafael Rodas and Virginia Melesio. He was married to the love of his life Maria Rodas.

Rafael worked for the City of Danbury.

Rafael is survived by his loving wife Maria Rodas, his children; Darlene Rodas, Frank Rodas, Anaysa Almonte and Wilma Henry. He was preceded in death by his sons, Rafael Rodas Jr. and Adrian Rodas.

A celebration of life gathering will be held on Tuesday August 4, 2026 from 11am-12:30pm at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street). A private cremation was held prior.  Danbury Memorial Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
