On July 10, 2021, Rachel Marie Botelho lost her courageous battle with cancer. She is the wife of Richard Manuel Botelho, and daughter of Rose and the late Emery Boudreau. Rachel was born on January 11,1950 in New Bedford, Massachusetts. She passed away at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, Connecticut.
Rachel was an avid reader and a wonderful writer. She was also an accomplished knitter, quilter and seamstress. But, perhaps she was happiest among her gardens: Rachel’s green thumb was unrivaled, and her ability to revive even the most hopeless plants was nothing short of miraculous.
In addition to her loving husband Richard, Rachel leaves behind her oldest daughter, Jessica Milner; her son, Brandon Botelho; and daughter, Stefanie Botelho, and fiancé Robert Norboe. Rachel also leaves behind her three brothers: Bernard Boudreau and wife Kathy; Marc Boudreau and wife Ann; and Gregory Boudreau and wife Lisa; and her sister Claudet Boudreau. She will be missed by her family-in-law: John Kuzniewski and wife Elizabeth; Robert Botelho and wife Joyce; and Mario Leone and wife Carol. She leaves behind grandchildren Kansas Milner, Violet Norboe and Brody Botelho. She was predeceased by her granddaughter Phoenix Milner.
A viewing will take place on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 from 5 to 8 PM at the Danbury Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation on 117 South Street, Danbury, Conn. A Catholic mass will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at 10:30 AM at St Peter’s Church on 104 Main Street, Danbury.
