Peter Jeffery Fairchild

Peter Jeffery Fairchild, a lifelong resident of New Fairfield, CT, died peacefully after a short but valiant battle against cancer on August 27, 2022. He was 65 years old.

Born on February 8, 1957 in Danbury, CT son of the late Lester and Harriet Fairchild. Peter graduated from New Fairfield High School in 1976, one of the first graduating classes of New Fairfield.

Peter was an expert carpenter. He enjoyed his career as a self-employed carpenter but also enjoyed working for Blansfield Builders. Peter’s talents have been published in many articles and magazines. Peter enjoyed spending time in Vermont, especially in the winter snowmobiling. He loved the NY Yankees and the NY Giants. Over five years ago Peter adopted his loving dog, Zay. Peter’s life forever changed for the best 5 years ago when his granddaughter Jasmine was born. Jasmine was the light of his world and his greatest joy in life.

Mr. Fairchild is lovingly survived by his daughter Rebecca Karp and his dearest granddaughter Jasmine both of New Fairfield, CT, his sibling; Reuben Fairchild and his wife Patti of Bethel, CT, Linda Fox of New Fairfield, CT and Patty Manluccia and her husband Frank of New Fairfield, CT and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Lester.
