Peter Alan Cote, Jr

Peter Alan Cote Jr, of New Milford, CT, died peacefully with his loving family by his side on December 26, 2024. He was 55 years old.

Born on May 20, 1969 in San Gabriel, CA, son of Jane (Kammert) Cote of New Milford, CT, and the late Peter A. Cote Sr. 

Peter was a self-employed contractor, he did all the trades involving construction, but his favorite was welding. Peter was a selfless, simple person with a big heart who would do anything for anyone. If you were lucky enough to call Peter your friend, you knew you had a friend for life. You could often find Peter outdoors, hunting and fishing.

Peter met his person, Kelly Ganser, 12 years ago and they became inseparable. They had a love for each other that was unmatched.

He is not only survived by his beloved, Kelly and his mother Jane, but also his daughter Haley Jane Cote, his stepsons; Richard and Brayden Ganser, his sister Carol Frances Cote and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind two loving aunts Gail Mora and Adrienne Lambert. Peter was blessed with many friends, especially “his boys” who held a special place in his heart.

A celebration of life gathering will be held on January 4, 2024 at 2pm at the VFW (11 Avery Rd, New Milford, CT 06776). This is a potluck, please bring your favorite dish to remember Peter by.
