Paula D. Marron, a lifelong resident of Danbury, passed away peacefully at Danbury Hospital on January 28, 2024 with her husband by her side.
Paula was born on January 7, 1949 in Danbury, CT, daughter of the late Richard Prange and Opal Hart. She was a 1967 graduate of Danbury High School.
Paula took a chance at love after encountering Thomas Marron, a childhood friend, before her high school reunion. She married Tom on September 10, 1994.
Paula was a hairdresser, her children can attest that she loved to try new things, especially on them. When the Danbury Fair Mall opened Paula began her career at C&C Unisex. She was with them for 20 years. Paula loved crafting, especially crocheting. She was “the Queen of the Glue Gun”. Paula enjoyed bowling with her friends and family, and she loved animals.
She is not only survived by Tom, but also her children; Corey Simmons (Susan), Keith Simmons (Heather), Wendy Hurlburt (Ed), her stepchildren; Tom Marron Jr. (Nicole), Scott Marron, Amanda Marron, her siblings; Linda Prange, Jean Lubus, Cherie Thompson and her 8 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and her siblings; Cindy and Carey.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, February 5, 2024 from 10am-12pm at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street). Paula’s request is for her life to be celebrated, please dress casually.
