Paul “Pete” Henry Chauvin Jr. passed away on October 17, 2019 in New Milford, CT surrounded by his loving family. Pete was born on March 11, 1933 in Danbury, CT to the late Lottie (Dibble) and Paul Henry Chauvin Sr. Husband of Ann Marie (Vasaturo) Chauvin.
Pete was a proud veteran of the United States army who served in the Korean War as a medic and paratrooper. He was an adventurous soul who loved to sail and play sports. When he wasn’t teaching others how to ski or acting as a catcher in the minor league, you could find him on the water sailing to Block Island or Nantucket. Paul was an avid Yankees fan who never missed a game.
Pete is survived by his loving wife Ann Marie Chauvin, his daughter Jerri Lynn Wlasuk and her husband Mike, his son Paul Henry Chauvin III and his wife Julie and his siblings George and Juanita Chauvin. He is also survived by his grandchildren Timothy Chauvin, Marie Kiernan and her husband Jedadiah, Vincent Adams, Ashley McNiel, Matthew Stephens and his wife Mandy, his great grandchildren Grace Kiernan, Kate Kiernan and Malachi McNeil as well as his in-laws Pattie, Joe and his wife Sue, Andy and his wife Diane and Mari Ann Lasky. He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews. Paul was greatly loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed by many.
A burial will take place on Saturday November 2, 2019 at 10Am at Prince of Peace Cemetery (119 Junction Rd. Brookfield. CT 06804).
