Pastora Hurtado

Pastora Hurtado, of Danbury, CT, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on February 6, 2026. She was 95 years old.

Born on June 7, 1930 in Palestina, Colombia, daughter of the late Teodore Botero and Pastora Quintero. Pastora was married to the love of her life Alirio Hurtado. He predeceased his wife in 2010.

Pastora was a loving mother and grandmother. Her greatest passion in life was her children and grandchildren. 

Pastora is survived by her children; Maria, Fernando, Martha and Gloria, her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

A celebration of life gathering will be held on Saturday February 14, 2026 at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street) from 9am-10am. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at St. Peter's Church at 10:30am. Interment will be held in Sleepy Hollow, NY, at the convenience of the family. 

The family would like to thank everyone from Autumn Lake at Glen hill for all the love, care and compassion given to our mother and the entire family. A very big special thank you to the Director of Nurses Carla Solipa and unit manager Viviana Espinal for the guidance and support given.
