Our family sadly lost a pillar when Olga Nydia Lozada, favorably known as China, passed away peacefully at her home on August 8, 2020 in New Britain, Connecticut. She was born on August 10, 1945 in Guanica, Puerto Rico to the late Hipolita Ortiz and Carlos Lozada.
With her vibrant personality, altruist spirit, amazing culinary skills she touched the life of many. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, mother-in-law and friend. China was well-known for the care and compassion that she put into every moment spent with her loved ones. A devout and Godly woman, China found peace in her faith. She was a skilled seamstress, hairdresser, and machine operator for Stanley Works for many years.
China is survived by her three beloved children: son Carlos R. Crespo and wife Wanda Chimelis, Marlene Crespo and her husband Norberto Candelario and Idalia Crespo and her husband Carlos E. Villarini and her grandchildren: Charlene Candelario, Norberto Candelario-Crespo, Carlos R. Candelario, Karilyn Villarini, Carlos E. Villarini Jr., Chantal Crespo and Lanise Crespo. Three sisters Rosalia,Adelaida and Sara Lozada. As well as a life long friend Sixta Ortiz .China was predeceased by one sister and one brother. A celebration of Life Service and gathering will be held privately by the family. Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery in New Britain, CT.
