Mireya Correa

Altagracia Mireya Correa passed away on April 19, 2023 at Danbury Hospital surrounded by her loving family.  Altagracia was 84 years old. She was born on January 7th, 1939 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic to the late Luisa Perdomo Viloria and Jose Logrono.

Altagracia enjoyed cooking, reading, Spanish novelas and listening to music. Her pride and joy was her family, she enjoyed spending time with not only her family but also her friends. 

Mireya is survived by her daughters: Sandra Correa Velazquez (Tony), Ivette Ledesma (Eddie), Sylvia Correa (Edwin Then) and Diana Aponte (Denzil); her grandchildren, Natalie Corniel, Alissa Velazquez, John Ledesma, Danielle Ledesma-Stafford, Geoffrey Then, Amber Then, Crystal Then, Sabrina Aponte, Sebastian Aponte and Naiasia Kennedy.  In addition, she is survived by her great-grandchildren, Ashton Ledesma and Ava Ledesma and many beloved nieces and nephews. Altagracia is predeceased by her husband Diego Antonio Correa.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Monday April 24th, 2023 at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South St, Danbury CT) from 4:00pm to 8:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 7:30pm.  Interment will be held at St. Raymond Cemetery (Bronx, New York) on Tuesday April 25th, 2023 at 11:45am.
