Michael Ross

Michael L. Ross of Danbury, CT, passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 20, 2025. He was 69 years-old. Michael was born on March 21, 1956 in Greenville, MS to the late Mamie C. Ross and Leroy N. Jones.

Michael attended Henry Abbott Technical school where he played basketball. Michael loved the sport just as much as he loved music, especially Marvin Gaye. Additionally, in his younger years he loved clothes and fashion; as a result of his style he was affectionately called “The Mac".

Michael is lovingly survived by his son Michael L. Ross Jr, brother Alan G. Jones and sister Michelle W. Ross. Grandchildren Myquan Ross, Davonna Spruill, NyAsia Ross, Tyana Ross, and Xavier Ross, great-grandchildren, Nau`Jour Ross and Zahra Ross, as well as a host of family and friends. Michael was preceded in death by his siblings George A. Ross and Angela V. (Cole) Johnson.
Michael was loved by many and will be remembered for his laugh, many nicknames given by family members and gentleness of soul.
