Michael P Powers

Michael Powers, of New Fairfield, CT, died peacefully after a year’s long battle with cancer. He was 60 years old.

Born in Long Island, NY, he was the son of the late Thomas and Dorothy Powers and grew up in the Albany, NY area. Michael obtained an undergraduate Technology Certificate from DeVry University in New Jersey and worked for various companies throughout the country primarily as a technician in the semiconductor industry.

Michael loved music, not only playing the bass but also listening to and going to concerts at every opportunity. He was a huge football and baseball fan, rooting for the Vikings and Twins.  Michael loved trying out new restaurants and was known as a true foodie. He was kind and generous to his family and his friends in Minnesota and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Michael is survived by his sister Mary, her husband Mike and their children. He was predeceased by his sister Jacqueline Powers.
