Michael R. Pane, 68, of Bethel passed into the Lord’s hands on April 22, 2021, after a four-year battle with cancer. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 34 years, Margaret I. Whelton, and their three sons: Jonathan Whelton-Pane, Logan Whelton-Pane, and Garrett Whelton-Pane.
Michael was employed at Electrical Wholesalers for more than twenty years. He loved baseball, coaching for ten years and serving as Commissioner of Babe Ruth Baseball for two years. Michael loved fishing, golfing, and spending hours on the water with his loved ones. In addition to his immediate family, he leaves behind his brothers and sisters, the “in-laws and the out-laws”: Ann and Paul Galvin, Elizabeth and Ned Carpenter, John and Diane Whelton, Catherine and Ray Duelfer, Paul and Evelyn Whelton, Stephen Whelton, Daniel and Jody Whelton, and Betty Whelton. He is predeceased in the Whelton family by his in-laws Elaine Whelton and Brian Whelton.
Michael left this world as he lived it: with dignity and grace, knowing how deeply he was loved by family and friends alike. He fought to live; he did not live to die. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Mary Church of Bethel on Saturday, May 8th, 2021 at 10 AM.
