Maureen M. Gorman, age 68, of Danbury, Connecticut , passed away on Christmas morning, December 25,2020 after a short yet fierce battle to Pancreatic Cancer. Maureen was born to parents Edward Gorman and Ernestine Thorne, on February 17,1952 in Stamford, Connecticut.
When Maureen was young, she spent a lot of time with her cousins and admired her Nanny and Pop, Elizabeth and Vincenzo Giuranna. She kept those memories close to her heart throughout her life.
What Maureen enjoyed the most was being a mom and “Nanny”, there’s nothing Maureen wouldn’t do for her babies. Maureen loved cooking, gardening and hosting the best gatherings. She took so much pride in her home and was always told what a niche she had for interior design. Maureen loved spur of the moment trips to NYC to see plays or to simply experience the thrill of the city. She enjoyed shopping and going to the movies by herself or with anyone that would join. She loved to travel or to have a simple beach day to soak up the sun.
Maureen’s vivacious personality and gorgeous smile allowed her to meet new friends anywhere she’d go. Maureen always kept a positive outlook on life regardless of what was thrown at her.
Maureen will be sorely missed by her loving brother, Thomas Gorman, and sister-in-law, Gina Gorman, her son Kurt Schaab (Deanna) and her daughter, Christina Delsoldato (Richard) and her grandchildren Logan and Ahren Schaab, Gianni and Miabella Bracco and Jaxson Delsoldato, along with many cousins and life long friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network https://www.pancan.org/ or Regional Hospice in Danbury, CT. A celebration of Maureen’s beautiful life will be scheduled in the warmer months to come. To light a candle or leave a condolence please continue to the Tribute Wall tab.
