Mary Ann M. Mitchell

Mary Ann M. Mitchell passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on June 6, 2022 in Danbury, CT. Mary Ann was born on December 11, 1971 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Frank Malichio and Arlene (Byrnes) Malichio. Wife of Bob Mitchell

Mary Ann grew up in Bethel, CT.  She graduated from Bethel High School in 1989. She attended Katherine Gibbs Business School. Mary Ann worked for many years as a commodities trader at Louis Dreyfus Company and New Zealand Lamb Co. Ltd. She recently worked as a patient care specialist at Connecticut Eye Consultants. 

Mary Ann’s best love and what she lived for most were her family, her friends, her faith, and not to mention her dog, Koda. Mary Ann gave love and consideration to everyone, before herself, right to the very end. To describe her best, she was everyone’s best friend, everyone’s counselor, and everyone’s shoulder to cry on.  Her maternal instincts knew no bounds.  Known to her son’s friends as “Mama Mitch”, her motherly love truly knew no bounds.  We were all so blessed to have her. 

Mary Ann is survived by her beloved husband Bob Mitchell, her loving children Robert, AJ, Jake, and Matt Mitchell, her siblings Paula St. Amand (Ron), Christine Kijek (Ed), Laura Campanelli, Fran Mendonca and Anthony Malichio, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Ann Marie Corso (Styme).

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at Faith Church, 600 Danbury Rd #1, New Milford, CT 06776, on Sunday June 12, 2022 from 1:30-2pm with a Celebration of Life Service to begin at 2pm.
