Mary Patricia Henry, a beloved resident of Key Largo, FL, peacefully passed away September 13th, 2025, at the age of 85. Her departure leaves a void in the hearts of her family and friends, who will forever cherish her memory.
Born on February 11, 1940, in Brooklyn, NY, Patricia was one of eight children born to Sylvio and Margaret Laino.
After graduating from nursing school, top of her class, she served with compassion and dedication as a nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital in Islip, NY, where she worked in the operating room. In 1961, she married the love of her life Stan Henry, at Saints Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Church in Deer Park, NY, and together they built a life filled with shared adventures and a lot of laughter. Patricia was an avid bridge player, who found much joy in the game.
Patricia is survived by her devoted husband, Stan Henry, who was her rock for over six decades. She also leaves behind her loving daughter, Dara Hubbard, and her cherished son, Stuart Henry, who will carry on her legacy of kindness and strength. Her memory will also be treasured by her adoring grandchildren: Jillian Schlesinger, Griffin Schlesinger, Emmy Schlesinger, Tyler Henry, Ella Henry, and Cooper Henry, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.
In accordance with the family's wishes, services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Patricia's memory to makingthebestofeveryday.org, a non-profit regional hospice center that was so helpful in making Patricia’s final days peaceful and comfortable.
