Mark J. Wilson
May 13, 1957 ~ December 1, 2025
Mark J. Wilson, of Danbury CT, passed peacefully at Village Crest Center for Health and Rehabilitation on December 1st , 2025. He was 68 years old.
Born on May 13th , 1957 at Danbury Hospital in Danbury CT, Mark was born to Jean (Churchill) Wilson and Joseph Wilson. He graduated with high marks from Danbury High School where he played football and participated in the Special Olympics.
After high school, he worked as a Janitor at Bradlees and a car dealership. Mark was a gentle soul. He was kind, caring and loved talking to everyone. He loved video games, watching tv and doing his word searches. Mark enjoyed watching all sports but his favorite was watching the Yankee’s play. Mark liked a good joke and couldn’t resist smiling. Even when he was sad or hurting, he always had a kind word for those around him.
Mark spent the last 5 years surrounded by friends and caregivers at Village Crest where he made many friends and really enjoyed bingo, chatting with his room mates and catching up with his favorite nurses. Mark was a good son, brother and friend to everyone he talked to.
Mark is survived by his mother, Jean B. Wilson and his brother Robert Wilson (Wife Lucielle), niece Regina Wilson and many extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his brother Michael Wilson (2019) and his father Joseph Wilson (2023).
A private cremation will be held with the assistance of Danbury Memorial Funeral Home.
He loved cats and dogs, therefore, donations in Mark’s honor can be made to DAWS (147 Grassy Plain Street, Bethel, CT 06801).
