A lifelong steam enthusiast, Mark loved Stanley Steam Cars, steam trains, and antique automobiles. Family vacations often centered around these passions, including the Annual Eastern Steam Car Tour which took them all over the country. Twice their 1909 Stanley Steam Car Model R made the trek to the top of Mt. Washington. He was an active member and treasurer of several car clubs and a licensed single-engine pilot.
Mark had a deep love for animals, especially Chesapeake Bay Retrievers. For many years, he and Lisa raised and trained several dogs, participating in hunt tests and shows.
Known for his kindness and generosity, Mark was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His family was his greatest pride and joy.
