Marie F. Talbot

Marie F. Talbot passed away peacefully on January 25, 2021 at her family’s home in Newtown, CT.  Marie was born on January 20, 1931 in Lawrence, MA to the late Angelina and Bernard Barrett of Methuen, Mass.  Marie was the eldest child with two brother’s Donald and Robert. She attended St . Anne’s High School, McIntosh Business School and Merrimack College.

Marie was the beloved wife of the late O’Neil N. Talbot and lived with Neil many years in Windsor Locks, CT raising their two sons. She worked for over 40 years as a supervisor for AETNA Insurance in Hartford, CT.  She spent the latter years of her life residing at Heritage Village in Southbury, CT.

Marie enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, round dancing, and was an active volunteer at the Southbury Training School.  During time spent at George AFB in California, she was a member of the Naval auxiliary, the WAVES, and attended the University of Southern California. Her family will always remember her for her big heart, outgoing personality and strong will.

Marie is survived by her two sons, Neal Talbot and wife Elizabeth, Timothy Talbot and wife Wendy, and her brother Donald Barrett. She will also be greatly missed by her five grandchildren. Hunter, Trevor, Aimee, Shea, and Kate are grateful for her unselfish love and affection.

The family will hold a private burial service at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Windsor Locks where she will lay in rest next to her late husband Neil.
